Splitsvilla X5 was full of drama, twists and turns, and fun, leaving audiences hooked to their screens. The season premiered on March 30, 2024, hosted by Tanuj Virwani and Sunny Leone, gained a lot of popularity. Although, the show ended with its finale on August 11, 2024, a few controversies from the show don't seem to end. One of the contestants, Kashish Kapoor, has been at the receiving end of hate since she decided to choose money and quit the show. After suffering a lot, she finally decided to take action and shared an update on how her IG handled it.
Since the finale of Splitsvilla X5 was aired, Kashish Kapoor has been under the spotlight. Her decision to take Rs. 10 lakh rather than compete for the finale shocked the netizens. As a result, she has been constantly criticised online and received several hate comments. In addition, she received death threats which forced her to take a step.

On August 21, 2024, Kashish Kapoor took to her IG handle and informed her fans that she had taken legal action against the cyberbullying directed towards her. The influencer shared a copy of her formal complaint against bullies and trolls. As per the picture, she has filed a complaint at Amboli Police Station, Mumbai. Sharing the photo, Kashish wrote:
"With the help of a lawyer, the complaint has been submitted physically as well. Enough is enough. I thank each and every one of you, jinhone meri help ki hain."
Reality shows can be a stressful experience for their contestants, who are often forced to make difficult decisions. On the finale of Splitsvilla X5, a similar situation occurred where Uorfi Javed and Munawar Faruqui entered the show before the finale. They brought forward a twist and made an intriguing offer to the finalists. As per their offer, finalists were offered the chance to take away Rs. 10 lakh from the total prize money of Rs. 15 lakh for the winner and quit the game.
Kashish took the offer, surprising her partner, Digvijay Rathee. Although, later she publicly apologised to him for her decision. But, the latter's fans were not convinced with her statement. Her decision got widespread backlash from the viewers. However, Kashish shared that she belonged to a middle-class family, and money was essential to justify her decision.

Several other co-contestants of Kashish, like Deekila Sherpa and Rushali Yadav, shared a message on their social media in support of her. They expressed their worries about the negative threats towards her and asked people to move on.
