More than Bigg Boss announcements in the latest season of the controversial show, all we could hear was Sreesanth banging the main door of the house and asking the makers of the show to arrange for his exit! Mounting the walls of the Bigg Boss 12 house, ‘bhai-behen’ camaraderie with this season's winner, Dipika Kakar, making his own dosa, being the centre of attraction of the house, crying his heart out every now and then, talking to his wife via camera and quitting amidst almost all the tasks; is what defines Sreesanth’s stay inside the Bigg Boss 12 house. The former cricketer was undoubtedly, one of the highest TRP-makers of the show, thanks to his performance, activities, controversial statements and revelations that he had made about the Indian cricket team. Sree was one of the top two contestants of the show, but missed the mark only by a jiffy. Ever since the show got over, Sreesanth and his wife, Bhuvneshwari haven’t ceased to make headlines.
The now actor and his wife were interviewed by online portal SpotboyE, wherein the couple got all candid about Sree’s jail term, financial turmoil that governed them, insights from Bigg Boss 12, his latest Zee5 release, Cabaret and the acid attack threat on Dipika Kakar. While you can watch the complete details in the following video, it will be extremely interesting to note Sree’s wife, Bhuvneshwari’s reaction when she was asked about her hubby doing intimate scenes on films. Very smartly, the star wife replied, “In Cabaret he hasn’t done anything so far, so I am pretty okay.”
When the journalist further asked her if she is possessive about her hubby, Bhuvneshwari replied, “That is his profession. It is his work and you need to respect that. If he is in a cricket field, I cannot tell him that you cannot bowl fast, that is his job and you have to respect that. Coming back to Sree and Bigg Boss, the Aksar 2 star had shared about his experience in yet another interview with SpotboyE. Speaking about the same, he was quoted as sharing, “I think Bigg Boss happened to me at a very important point in my career. It was important and I am happy to have been a part of it. I have no problems that Dipika Kakar won. Frankly, I had reached a point inside the house when I eventually wanted the lights to shut off. I just wanted to go back to my wife and kids.”
Sree was frequently seen getting angry at his co-contestants. So much so, that he was also given the tag of ‘Angry Young Man’ inside the house! Sharing if emotions and homesickness got the better of him inside the Bigg Boss 12 house, Sree replied, “I wanted to do that in the first two weeks of the show only, but Anup Jalota made me understand to face the challenges in life. If people say things about me, my friends and family- I will react. However, reactions will very outside and inside. I said let me take up the challenge to win the trophy. There are certain parameters that should not have been crossed- but certain contestants did and no action was taken.”
With Sree facing all the taunts inside the house, his wife, Bhuvneshwari was equally supportive of him from outside. Sreesanth was playing for Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Raj Kundra’s joint venture, Rajasthan Royals when he was accused of match-fixing. To add to it, Raj Kundra was also accused of the same offence but was freed from any trials as no proofs were found against him. In a Bigg Boss video clipping, Sree was seen talking about him being innocent wherein a particular comment of Raj Kundra Bhuvaneshwari furious. With Raj commenting “Epic” on the video with a laughing emoji, Bhuvaneshwari took to Twitter to lash out at Raj. Her tweet could be read as, “This man(RajKundra) has still has not cleared Sree's dues... Epic is his guts to comment where he's been found guilty of betting by court. Whereas Sreesanth has been discharged and proven innocent of all the charges by the court." Here’s the screenshot of Raj’s comment and her tweet:
That was not all. Bhuvaneshwari also penned down an open-letter telling all fans that Sree is innocent. Sharing whereabouts of that unfortunate 2013 spot-fixing incident, Bhuvaneshwari’s tweet could be read as, “Heart to Heart message for #SreeFam. Sreesanth, in a throwback interview with TOI, had revealed that had it not been for his wife, he would not have survived the backlash against him. He was quoted as saying, “If not for her support, I don’t know if I would have survived the ordeal. I didn’t know if I would play again. I felt like ending my life. I did think about my mom and dad, but they have three more children and I told myself they might survive even if I’m not around. Then, her father told me ‘Nayan still wants to marry you.’ It felt like a breath of fresh air. After that, I couldn’t think of leaving this world without marrying her. I got to know later that while I was in prison, she was sleeping in the kitchen, to go through what I was going through in prison.”
