The Italian luxury brand, Versace, appointed the South Korean pop band, Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, their global brand ambassador. Before Versace made the formal announcement on July 20, 2023, the Korean artist was seen at the launch of the Versace pop-up store in Seoul earlier this month. This announcement has filled the fans of Hyunjin with great excitement.
For the unversed, Hyunjin is a rapper, singer, songwriter and dancer from the popular K-pop boy band, Stray Kids. After assuming the position as the global brand ambassador, Hyunjin will be shooting for Versace’s Holiday 2023 campaign, the first of many commitments with the brand. Let us tell you more about the South Korean heartthrob, Hyunjin.

Hwang Hyun Jin, a.k.a. Hyunjin, was born in Seoul, South Korea, on March 20, 2000. He graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA) and is affectionately called the 'SOPA Prince' due to his attractive looks and exceptional skills. Hyunjin’s other nickname is Jinnie. When he was in primary school, his ambition was to play soccer, and he was known for being an excellent swimmer.
Hyunjin has been raising his dog, Kkami, since the age of sixteen and has said that he would always prefer dogs over cats. Reportedly, he also has a soft spot for drawing and painting. His artworks are often posted on Stray Kids’ official social media accounts. Hyunjin's role model is the K-pop band, GOT7's Jinyoung.

In a project by Stray Kids called SKZOO, all the members were assigned a cartoon character. Jokes between the members and the fandom and the members' physical characteristics were used to create the character designs. Hyunjin was assigned a ferret because of his facial features resembling that of the animal. He is lovingly called ‘Jiniret’, the name is a combination of Hyunjin’s nickname Jinnie and the ferret, the animal assigned to him.

It is reported that Hyunjin was discovered by the entertainment conglomerate, JYP Entertainment (JYPE) on the streets while he was out shopping with his mother. Then, after undergoing two years of training, he joined JYPE. He first became interested in dancing while watching the senior trainees perform on stage. He then practised further by learning several styles of dance at SOPA.
On October 12, 2017, Hyunjin's participation in the survival show, Stray Kids was formally announced by JYPE. He made his debut in the rap and dance category. On the show's final episode on December 19, 2017, JYPE made Hyunjin's debut official with the boy band, Stray Kids.
Hyunjin made his debut on March 26, 2018, showcasing his skills as the lead rapper and main dancer of Stray Kids through the mini album, I am NOT. He also served as a fixed MC on Show! Music Core from February 16, 2019 to February 20, 2021, proving his versatility in the entertainment industry. In December 2019, his talent was recognized as he joined KBS' group project, BBANGBBANGZ.
Also, as part of the SKZ-PLAYER series, Hyunjin wowed his fans with a dance performance to Billie Eillish's song, When the Party's Over, on May 9, 2020. To further showcase his talent, he released Miss You, a self-penned song, on December 21, 2020. In February 2021, he took a hiatus after being accused of bullying at school. He was absent from all activities, including Mnet's competition programme, Kingdom: Legendary War. However, on June 26, 2021, he made a comeback in the music video for the digital single, Mixtape: OH, after the accusations were proven false.
As part of the SKZ-RECORD series, he released his composition, ice.cream, on August 13, 2022. On December 21, 2022, Hyunjin contributed to the writing and composition of his original solo song, Love Untold, which was included on the winning album, SKZ-REPLAY.

In March 2018, Hwang Hyunjin made his debut as a member of the boy band, Stray Kids, after spending two years training with the firm JYP Entertainment. As per reports in Net Worth Spot, the combined net worth of Stray Kids is estimated to be more than USD 30 million.
They reportedly make more than USD 6.02 million annually. Given their planned initiatives, their combined wages will likely exceed USD 48.29 million, as per the same report. The estimated net worth of Hyunjin is USD 1.5 million.
Hyunjin was appointed the global brand ambassador for the Italian luxury brand, Versace. Before this appointment, Hyunjin was photographed at the Versace Pop-up store in Seoul earlier this month. He was also spotted at the launch of Versace and Dua Lipa’s ‘La Vacanza’ collection in May.
JYP Entertainment introduced the South Korean boy band, Stray Kids (often abbreviated as SKZ) through the 2017 reality programme of the same name. The group comprises of eight members, Bang Chan (the leader), Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. Although there were nine members in the group at the beginning, their ninth member, Woojin, left the group in October 2019 for personal reasons.
The group's name, 'Stray Kids', was created by the members, not by JYP Entertainment. The name means 'a lost child who wants to chase their dreams and later evolved to represent the idea of finding a way together out of the ordinary.' Stray Kids released Mixtape, their debut extended play, in January 2018. Go Live, their first platinum-certified record was released in 2020 and served as their first studio album.
The group's second studio album, Noeasy, was released in 2021, and it became the first of their albums to sell over a million copies. 5-Star, the group's third studio album, was recently released. At present, they have plans to embark on their tour, the 5-Star Dome Tour, which will commence in Fukuoka, Japan, on August 16, 2023. Stray Kids are going to perform at the Lollapalooza music festival in Paris on July 21, 2023, and in September at the Global Citizen Festival in New York.
