It later came to light that Mushtaq Khan had also been kidnapped but eventually managed to escape. The actor was quick to report the incident to the police, who immediately started an investigation. Sunil Pal and Mushtaq Khan’s kidnappers also plotted to capture Shakti Kapoor in the same manner

A recent report by the Hindustan Times revealed that the police had kicked off an investigation after the filing of Sunil Pal and Mushtaq Khan’s respective claims. Both of them had been kidnapped in Delhi after arriving in the city under the guise of being invited to an event. The probe revealed that the miscreants had also plotted to abduct veteran actor, Shakti Kapoor using the same tactic, but the plan was eventually called off.

When Mushtaq was revealing his side of the story, he informed the cops that he was provided with flight tickets and an advance payment of Rs. 25,000 to make the event invitation seem legitimate. Well, Bijnor superintendent of police, Abhishek Jha, recently revealed that a similar plan was put in place to lure Shraddha Kapoor's father, Shakti Kapoor. The actor was seemingly offered Rs. 5 lakhs to attend a similar event, but negotiations failed when a high advance payment was requested. As of now, the team is investigating whether the gang had plans to kidnap other actors as well.
