There's no doubt in the well-known fact that the Khans and the Kapoors have ruled Bollywood and continue to do so. However, it is also a well-known fact that Deols are one of the few families, who came quite close to matching these two giant families. It had started with the introduction of legendary actor, Dharmendra, who had taken the Hindi cinema by storm and had made a massive mark of 'Deols' in the industry. Soon his sons and daughters, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Esha Deol Takhtani had taken their family name to further heights.
The Deols have completed eight decades in the Hindi film industry, and the next generation of the iconic family has also entered the world of glam and glitz. Yes, we are talking about Sunny Deol's son, Karan Deol, who had already made his debut in Bollywood with the film, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and is now gearing up for some exciting projects. However, suddenly, the speculations about Karan's engagement with his alleged longtime girlfriend, Drisha, hit the headlines and shocked everyone.

According to multiple reports and speculations in the media, Dharmendra's grandson and Sunny Deol's son, Karan Deol got engaged to his rumoured longtime girlfriend, Drisha, who is the great-granddaughter of late legendary filmmaker, Bimal Roy. However, nothing has been announced officially from the side of the two families. Not only this, some reports suggest that soon the newly-engaged couple, Karan and Drisha will be getting married in an intimate wedding setup. However, Karan's team has rubbished all these speculations of the actor being engaged to Drisha. Rubbishing the rumours, the team has retorted:
"Karan and Drisha are childhood friends. The news about them getting engaged is not true."
On the professional front, Karan Deol is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited upcoming film, Apne 2, in which he will be starring with his father, Sunny Deol. In an interview with IANS, Karan had opened up about the pressure that a young actor has to face if he hails from a celebrity family. The young actor had also shared how time and again, he had faced numerous comparisons with his father in terms of their striking resemblance. However, Karan had ensured that he would love to make an identity of his own through his journey. He had said:
"I am always going to be compared to my dad and he is always legendary at what he does but eventually I have to find my own identity and etch my own path for myself which eventually I'd do when more work I do."

Going further in the interview, Karan Deol had also talked about trying his hands in the action genre, for which his father, Sunny Deol and grandfather, Dharmendra, have been renowned for some decades now. The young actor had stated that he's open to almost any genre at the moment. However, he had also admitted that he would love to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather if a good action script comes in his way. Karan had explained:
"Dad is exceptionally good at what he does and I would love to do something in that genre (action) if the character has to be right. It should engage me and excite me. I am open to pretty much everything as long as the character is right, the script is good then the genre doesn't matter to me"."
For the unversed, Karan Deol was last seen in the film, Velle.
