The power couple of the South Indian film industry, Suriya and Jyothika have reinstated our faith in love and marriage time and again. The star couple was spotted in Mumbai some time back, and now the latest buzz is that Suriya and Jyothika are planning to shift from Chennai to Mumbai.
As per multiple reports, Suriya and Jyothika have purchased a luxurious apartment in one of the poshest localities in Mumbai for a whopping amount of Rs. 70 crores. The swanky apartment, which is home to some of the biggest Bollywood celebs and politicians, is built in the space of 9000 square feet in a gated community.

The reports further claimed that Suriya and Jyothika planned to shift to Mumbai as they have enrolled the kids, Dev and Diya, in a school in Mumbai. Not just this, there are speculations that Jyothika too has signed a Hindi web series.
Talking about Suriya and Jyothika, the star couple’s love story is truly filmi. It was in the year 1999 when Suriya met Jyothika Sadanah, who hailed from Mumbai, during the filming of Poovellam Kettupar. Both Suriya and Jyothika were not big stars then and were trying to make a foothold in the industry. After a few meetings, the two became good friends and Suriya started introducing Jyothika to his close friends.

In 2001, when Jyothika saw Suriya’s film Nandha, she was quite impressed with his performance in the film. The actress recommended his name to director Gautham Menon for his next project, Kaakha Kaakha (Tamil version of the Hindi film, Force starring John Abraham and Genelia Deshmukh), where she was already playing the female lead.
During the filming of Kaakha Kaakha, the two had fallen in love. In the year 2006, Suriya and Jyothika culminated their beautiful relationship into the sacred thread of marriage. In the year 2007, the duo embraced parenthood and welcomed their daughter, Diya. After the birth of their son in 2010, Jyothika took a break from acting to look after her kids and later made her comeback in 2015 with the film, 36 Vayadhinille. Suriya and Jyothika were seen together in the 2020 released autobiographical drama, Soorarai Pottru, produced under their home banner, 2D Entertainments.
