The year 2020 had begun with a global pandemic forcing everyone to lock themselves inside the four walls of their home. While we were fighting with COVID-19, the news of our favourite stars, Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor’s sudden death had come as a shock. While we were coping with the loss of the rarest gems of Bollywood, news of actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death had left us speechless. From his friends, fans to his family, everyone was devastated with the shocking news of his death. The lazy afternoon of June 14, 2020 had turned into a shocking day when news channels had flashed the breaking news of actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. With stellar performances in movies like Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Chhichhore and many more, Sushant Singh was counted amongst the list of versatile actors and his sudden death had raised many questions. Smelling a foul play in his death, his friends, fans and family have been raising their voice demanding justice for SSR resulting in the case being handed over to CBI for further probe.

After Sushant’s death, his labrador, Fudge was moved to Sushant’s hometown in Patna. On August 6, 2020, Sushant’s niece, Mallika took to her IG stories and shared a glimpse of Fudge eagerly waiting for his master’s arrival. Along with the video, Mallika wrote how Fudge still has not left his hope and hopefully looks at the door whenever it opens expecting Sushant would walk in. Her caption on the video can be read as “He does still look up hopefully every time the door opens.”
On July 24, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput's sister, Shweta Singh Kirti had taken to her IG handle to share the reunion of Fudge, with Sushant’s father in Patna. Shweta had posted a picture of her father caressing Fudge sitting on his porch with the caption, "Dad with Fudge." Sushant was very fond of his dog and used to spend a lot of time playing with him. Mallika has been sharing glimpses of her ‘Gulshan mama’. On June 20, 2020, she had taken to her IG handle and had shared a throwback picture and a video of her mama, Sushant reminiscing the good old days she had spent with him. Along with it, she had written, “I love you so, so much, my Gulshan mama. I will miss you immensely.”
Meanwhile, on August 1, 2020, Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti had taken to her IG handle and had made an appeal to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to look into SSR’s case while expecting justice to prevail. The doting sister had written, “I am sister of Sushant Singh Rajput and I request an urgent scan of the whole case. We believe in India’s judicial system & expect justice at any cost. @narendramodi @PMOIndia.”

For those of you, who don't know, Sushant Singh Rajput's family has set up a foundation in his name, Sushant Singh Rajput Foundation (SSRF), to support the aspiring talents in the three subjects that were extremely close to the actor's heart, i.e., the field of cinema, sports and science. It was also revealed that his childhood home in Patna would be converted into a memorial for his fans, which will have his personal belongings, including his favourite books and his 'most prized possession', his telescope. There are only some, in a generation, who impact the society to the extent that their absence feels like a personal loss!
