He was a simple boy from Patna, who came to the city of dreams, Mumbai, with the love of acting running in his veins, Sushant Singh Rajput was not just a name. He was a legend, who had achieved a lot of fame and success within a short span. We had first seen him in Ekta Kapoor's show, Pavitra Rishta as 'Manav' and every girl had dreamed of marrying a simple man like him. He had gained a lot of fan following from his television stint and then he had stepped into the glorious world of Bollywood and had made a huge name with a series of hit films like, Kai Po Che, PK, MS Dhoni and many more. While we all had always loved him, he had left us all without any goodbyes at the mere age of 34.
The news of Sushant Singh Rajput had committed suicide still echoes in our ears and our hearts are not ready to accept that this strong, intellectual man had left us forever. The nation was sure that he is the next big star, but the Sunday (June 14, 2020) afternoon, changed it all and now there are only conjectures of 'could have', 'would have' and 'should have'. The star had always valued true relationships and friendships. He was extremely close to his family and especially, his mother, who had passed away while he was in school.

After Sushant's big debut, the actor had paid a tribute to his late mother in his own sweet way on the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Ja season 4. The decade-old video has resurfaced on the internet, and in the video, we could see our favourite boy presenting a dance tribute for his loving mother. He had danced with his choreographer on Luka Chuppi song from the film, Rang De Basanti and had left the audience as well as the judges in tears. But what broke our heart was the way Sushant had cried on the stage and his then-girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande had rushed to the stage to console him.

In the video, we could hear him expressing his desire to perform on this song for his mother. Sushant had said, "I had always wanted to do this as I lost my mom in 1992. Even my smallest of achievements used to make her happy. She used to be very happy with all the small things I used to do. She would be very happy if she was alive today. I talk to my mom in this performance that everything she wanted for me is happening now but she is not there."

Just a week ago of Sushant's untimely demise, the actor had posted a black-and-white picture of his mother alongside a monochrome picture of himself on his Instagram handle. He had captioned the picture as "Blurred past evaporating from teardrops. Unending dreams carving an arc of smile. And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two.Maa."
We all know within just a few days, the world will go back to normal, but the film industry won't be the same because of Sushant's untimely demise. He had left a void in our hearts and everyone is asking just one question 'Why'. But we hope and pray that wherever he is, he finds his peace which he was looking for!
