Most of us think that it is easy for celeb kids as opportunities come knocking on their doors and the struggle is zero. But we often forget that they are the most affected ones because if their films don’t do well, not just them, their entire family is trolled and shamed. It is never easy for a star kid as they carry the legacy of their star parents’ achievements and often bear the brunt if unable to reach the benchmark set by them. As Sushmita Sen’s elder daughter, Renee is all set to make her acting debut with the upcoming film, Suttabaazi, she opens up on being a star kid and whether it has made any differences in getting her debut role. To wish Sushmita on her 45th birthday, Renee had posted a beautiful throwback picture from her archives. In the monochrome picture, Sushmita could be seen holding a sleeping infant, Renee in her arms. Renee had captioned the beautiful picture as “Happy Birthday Maa. In an interview with the IANS, when Renee was asked whether it was easy to get launched, the beautiful girl shared, “Everything I am doing is based out of the fact that I want to be independent, because my mother has always encouraged that. If that means setting an example, then I couldn't be happier. But I am not consciously trying to do things differently. I am just lucky and blessed that everything is falling into place, with however independently I am doing it. I am doing it step by step. It is not a conscious decision to set an example. Suttabazi is a beautiful film and I am lucky to be a part of it."
Ever since Renee went on the sets of her mother’s film, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Main Hoon Na, she had decided her destiny and wanted to be an actor. Just like her mom, Renee too wants to be independent. She credits her mom, Sushmita for keeping her and her sister, Alisah grounded and shares that she is aware of her privileges and feels blessed for everything. In her words, “To me, Sushmita Sen is my mother and I am aware of the privileges. I am very blessed that I am her daughter but at the end of the day she is my maa. I, along with my sister, am being raised to be strong, and to have an identity of my own. She is teaching us the values she wants us to have, and I feel like I am learning from the best but, most importantly, she is my maa and I love her the most.” (Also Read: Pregger, Kareena Kapoor Khan Wore A Top Worth Rs 5k For A Commercial Shoot With Hubby, Saif Ali Khan)
