Taapsee Pannu, one of the famous actresses in the Hindi film industry, needs no introduction. The diva carved a space in the hearts of her fans with her roles in movies like Badla, Manmarziyaan, Thappad, Pink, and many others. She will be next seen in the films, Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein. Talking about her personal life, Taapsee got married to her beau, Mathias Boe, on March 23, 2024. Although, she kept the affair hushed, recently, the actress talked in detail about the bits and pieces of her wedding ensembles, and it's all things dreamy.
Taapsee Pannu recently sat for an interview with the HT City, wherein she was asked to decode her looks from her wedding and pre-wedding soiree. Talking about the same, Taapsee Pannu mentioned that she had grown up seeing Sikh and Gurudwara weddings, which is why she has always thought of getting married in a red-hued salwar kameez with dupatta featuring kinari on the borders. Sharing that she could never imagine herself getting married in a pastel lehenga, Taapsee added:
"I’ve grown up seeing Sikh, Gurudwara weddings, so for me, the vintage idea, the classic idea of getting married was always in a proper red salwar kameez paired with a dupatta with kinari on the border. That’s the only way I know a bride looks like a bride, and it didn’t feel real wedding vibe to me to imagine myself dressing up in pastel hued lehengas."

Taapsee Pannu mentioned that she didn't wear any lehenga throughout her wedding as she wanted to dance a lot. The actress also shared that it was her friend, Mani Bhatia, who designed the outfits for her the way she wanted. Sharing the reason, the actress said that she wanted her wedding to be a private affair, and opting for big designers would have been a problem.
Going further in the interview, Taapsee Pannu stated that for her haldi, she donned a Punjabi-style lungi and paired it with a kurta, which was like DDLJ. Talking about her sangeet attire, Taapsee revealed that she wore bell-bottom type pants and a blingy top with diamond accessories. Talking about her wedding jewels, Taapsee shared that she opted for the light jewels of her mom, and those jewels actually belonged to her grandmom. Sharing that her kaleeras and chooda were also very minimal, Taapsee added:
"For the wedding, I wore traditional Punjabi saggi phull,which is a hair accessory, along with a very light necklace and earrings that my grandmother gave to my mother at her wedding. I had not other jing bhang for the Indian wedding. My chooda and kaleere also were very basic.”

In the same interview, Taapsee Pannu talked about her attire for her Danish wedding, which is simply adorable. The actress shared that the designer, Lasse Spangenberg's name was suggested by her hubby, Mathias Boe. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that she and her sister were in Demark for five days as they had to keep in check all the fittings of her dress. She added that in Denmark, there's a tradition of wearing something new, something old, and something blue and borrowed.

Sharing how her wedding ensemble had a touch of each of these, Taapsee added that her gown was new, while she wore a pair of old heels and amped up her look with a pair of pearl earrings, which she borrowed from her designer. Talking about something blue, Taapsee left her veil to carry that as she made the sheer veil inscribed with important dates of her and Mathias' relationship, and the embroidery was in a blue hue. Taapsee shared:
"There’s a tradition in Denmark to wear something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue on your wedding day. So the gown was ‘new’, I wore an ‘old’ pair of heels from my closet, I ‘borrowed’ pearl earrings from my stylist Devki, and on my veil, I had gotten some important dates of our relationship embroidered, which was in ‘blue’ in colour."
