Tabu is one of the popular actresses in Bollywood. She was last seen in the film, Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon, and received immense praise from critics and audiences alike. Tabu is eagerly waiting for the release of her upcoming film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which marks her tenth onscreen collaboration with old friend, Ajay Devgn. For the unversed, the duo's first film together, Vijaypath, was released almost three decades ago.
Ahead of the release of their upcoming film, Tabu sat down for a candid interview with News18 Showsha and shared exciting details about the romantic drama. However, before the conversation was initiated, Tabu instantly cracked up and mentioned that if she ever spoke about her friendship with Ajay Devgn, he would break all the ties with her. She said:
“Will you ask me about my friendship with Ajay? Because if I speak about it one more time, he’ll break my friendship with me!”

Earlier, Tabu had tagged Ajay as a ‘bully’ and mentioned how he used to beat up boys who would approach her. In the same interview, when the actress was asked if she still has the same views about him, she said that Ajay is a silent bully with a very sweet way of ragging people. In her words:
“He’s a silent bully. People will never come to know that he has any such plan up his sleeves. He has a very quiet and sweet way of ragging people. He’s quite mischievous.”
Tabu had once revealed that Ajay often indulges in gossip, but he diligently passed the accusation on to her. When asked if she had a treasure trove of Bollywood gossip, the actress mentioned that it was false blame. She further added that Ajay was just trying to cover up facts and badmouth her with his statement. Clarifying her stance, Tabu said:
“No, that’s wrong. He’s just ‘badnamofying’ me. He said this because I told everyone that he always asks me for gossip. This is his way of covering up facts. I don’t have information about anyone in the film industry. I don’t have enough information about myself even!”

Further in the conversation, Tabu mentioned that age-appropriate casting was the norm in the past, but these days, older actors have started to play young characters onscreen. However, she made a big statement and stated that she is not open to playing a 30-year-old in a film now as she wants to embrace her age. Tabu concluded:
“Yeh sab cheezein pehle bhi toh hota tha jab de-aging ka concept nahi tha. We saw different actors playing younger selves of the protagonists. Once they grew up, they became Dharmendra or Dilip Kumar. I think that with this film, we’re continuing that tradition. I would refuse those parts. I don’t think that I’ll be open to playing a 30-year-old anymore. I’ve no option but to embrace my age.”
