There is nothing as overpowering as love and it is the only emotion that binds two souls. But in this digital world, where love happens just like an instant coffee, finding someone, who loves you unconditionally is a tuff nut to crack. In the world of glamour, where link-ups and break-ups are part of every celeb’s life, there are some actors, who have managed to keep their personal life out of media glares. Taher Shabbir of Naam Shabana fame is one such actor, who has never talked about his personal life in public domain. Taher Shabbir had started his career in entertainment in 2014 when he had portrayed the role of Viraj Singh Rathore in Star Plus’ show, Nisha Aur Uske Cousins. In 2009, Taher was seen in the Bollywood movie, Kurbaan starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan where he had a brief role. In 2016, he had made his Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Fan and in 2017, the actor had portrayed the role of Jai in Naam Shabana.
It was in August 2020, when Taher had surprised his fans with the news of his engagement. And seems like there is yet another surprise for his fans as the actor had gotten married to the love of his life, Akshita Gandhi. On October 5, 2020, Taher took to his IG handle and shared mesmerising pictures from his wedding and other functions. In the pictures, Taher looked dapper in a white bandhgala with a golden-coloured safa. His bride, Akshita complemented him in a teal green coloured lehenga with beige-coloured choli. Keeping her hair open with subtle makeup, Akshita looked stunning. Along with the pictures, he penned a note on finally meeting his ‘Rumi’. His note can be read as “Shams, the heretic, the wanderer, wandered and wandered for the enlightened one and finally he met Rumi. And she said yes. And then there was forever” followed by a heart emoticon.

On August 18, 2020, Taher Shabbir had taken to his IG handle and had shared beautiful pictures from his engagement ceremony with Akshita Gandhi. In the pictures, Taher had looked dapper in a golden-coloured brocade sherwani and his fiancée, Akshita had complemented him in a beautiful rose gold outfit. For the uninitiated, Taher Shabbir’s bride, Akshita Gandhi is an international artist, a young business leader and a philanthropist based in Mumbai. She had done her graduation in Finance and Economics from the American University in Dubai and had later pursued MFA in Fine Arts from Dubai. Akshita, who has been actively engaged in business from a very early period under the guidance of her father, Nikhil Gandhi had recently founded Dua Foundation. The foundation aims at the empowerment of the vulnerable members of the society.
Taher was recently seen in Netflix Original film, Guilty as Danish Ali Baig and he was applauded for his stellar performance. The actor had also played the role of Sangram Singh in Kangana Ranaut’s much talked about film, Manikarnika. Apart from films, Taher's character, Arshad Habib in the serial, Bepannaah opposite Jennifer Winget had garnered him a lot of attention. Taher will next be seen in a mystery thriller, Iti: Can You Solve Your Own Murder. Talking about his dream of working in a thriller movie, Taher in a media interaction had stated, “Being part of a mystery thriller has always been one of my dreams. I'm so glad that I'm getting to play such an interesting character in a concept-driven, unique thriller so early in my career.
