An exemplar of a superwoman, Tahira Kashyap is not just Ayushmann Khurrana's doting wife but is also a hands-on mother to her kids, Virajveer and Varushka. Ayushmann and Tahira have reinstated our faith in old school love and had made us believe that love can triumph any battle. From being each other’s worst critics to loudest cheerleaders, Ayushmann and Tahira are pure couple goals.
After tying the knot in 2008, Tahira and Ayushmann have created a beautiful paradise with their two little munchkins, Virajveer and Varushka. Tahira, who is a director and an author enjoys a huge fan following on social media. Tahira has recently penned a book, 7 Sins of Being A Mother, where she had made some astonishing revelations about her motherhood journey.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Tahira talked about the struggles she went through as a new mother after the birth of her son, Virajveer. Tahira, who had given birth to Virajveer in 2012 revealed how she had once forgotten Virajveer in a restaurant. She also recalled how the waiter came running to her and said, "Mam aap apna bacha bhool gaye."
Opening up about the incident, Tahira stated that the incident happened when Virajveer was just a few months old and was sleeping in his pram. Sharing how she forgot to pick him up after lunch, Tahira stated:
"Once lunch was over I hugged each of my friends, and headed to the elevator. Just then one of the staff members came running towards me, putting his foot in the door before it shut. ‘Madam,’ he said, ‘you have forgotten your baby!’ Everyone in the lift gave me a look I will never forget. People forget to pay bills or leave their bag behind. I forgot my baby even though I was still holding on to my bag. What kind of cruel mother does that?"

Sharing more details about the blunders she did as a mother, Tahira also revealed that she was one of those mothers, who would drop her children to school on public holidays. She shared how she has let those things go and is now more forgiving of herself as a mother. Tahira also talked about how she had learned not to be guilty of the mistakes she had made as a new mom.

On July 6, 2021, Tahira had taken to her IG handle and had shared a twinning picture with her son, Virajveer. Sharing the coincidence of their twinning outfits and revealing the ‘mommy sin’ she had committed, Tahira had written:
“Coming back home to this smile after getting a dozen voice notes which start as soon as I step out! In my attempt to coordinate (apart from the colours we are wearing, which just happened without any coordination honestly) from my work place I made him wait for a zoom class while he was home for 30 min, which…. Gulp…. I forgot wasn’t today #the7sinsofbeingamother.”

Apart from being an author and director, Tahira Kashyap is also a cancer survivor.
