During the start of his career, there were not many who believed in him. Even his own wife, Tahira Kashyap’s reaction wasn’t a pleasant one. Recently, in an interview with film critic, Anupama Chopra, Tahira had revealed her first reaction, and had said, “This man, my husband told me he wants to be an actor and I literally scoffed you know. I ridiculed him like “Ae shakal dekhi hai? (Have you seen your face?) So I did not believe in him. I was very brutal and I wasn’t even shocked, I laughed. And that’s the worst reaction to give to anybody that you are laughing at the person’s face.”

However, Ayushmann never let all the comments affect him, and he proved his worth in the television world and then made headlines when he entered the B-town. On March 23, 2019, actor, director and writer bagged the Critics Best Actor in the leading role for his performance in Andhadhun at the Filmfare Awards 2019. And, his wife, Tahira posted a funny note for him on her official Instagram handle. (Also Read: Rohit Sharma's 3-Month-Old Daughter Dances As He Sings Rap From Gully Boy, Video Inside)
Instead of a regular appreciation, Tahira brushed off her writing skill and wrote, “Proudest moment for me. This black lady doesn’t come easy! Hence I forgive you for not helping me decide the theme party for our kids, for forgetting to pick me up from where you dropped me earlier, for going to a wrong class for a parent teacher meeting, and zillion other things! But I applaud you for always being there for us when needed the most and yet give 100 % to your profession and craft. @ayushmannk You inspire me as an artist. As a husband you can still do better! I think I should start holding my own ‘My fair lady’ awards at home annually to up your game! #bestactorcritics #filmfareawards #proudwife #gratitude.”
In an interview, Tahira had talked about her insecurities when Ayushmann entered Bollywood. She had revealed, “I was this crazy, insecure pregnant person when Vicky Donor happened and that was the worst phase for both of us. I think both of us were very immature. He didn’t have the maturity to kind of hold my hand and tell me it’s ok, especially, when I am crazy on my hormones because I was pregnant at the time and I also didn’t have the maturity to just take it easy and know this thing will get over.” (You May Also Like: Ranveer Singh Reveals That He Is 'Thirsty' For Wife, Deepika Padukone's Comments)

She had further added, “Both of us lacked maturity. Then you also feel like a whale and considering your husband is with beautiful women all around and you don’t come from that background. Even if you have the maturity, the passion and you understand art, you don’t have the maturity to deal with the frills that come along.”
Tahira also talked about the time when they found a firm footing together to sustain their relationship, and had revealed, “I was very lost and so was he. But thankfully, for us knowing each other for the past nine-ten years before marriage really helped because I know that he’s not a bad guy and he knows that she’s not a bad girl. So I think that sustained us and we eventually made peace with it.” (Don't Miss: Priyanka Chopra Is Planning To Go On Double Date With Nick Jonas' Ex Miley Cyrus And Her Spouse)
