Taimur Ali Khan's nurse, Lalita DSilva, grabbed a lot of limelight during her last interview. She refused to be tagged as a 'nanny', as she is a professional pediatric nurse. Lalita not only looked after Kareena and Saif's sons, Taimur and Jeh but also took care of Anant Ambani, Ram Charan-Upasana's daughter, Klin Kaara and more. It was reported that Lalita's salary is equal to that of the prime minister, and she now reacted to the same in a recent interview.

Lalita DSilva asked people to respect her job

Lalita DSilva recently sat for an interview with India Today, wherein she talked about the gossip about her salary being equal to the PM's. First, she shared that people can give her the name they want, but they must respect her job. Earlier, in an interview, Lalita mentioned that it made her feel bad when people tagged her as 'Taimur's nanny'. Well, in the recent interview, Lalita added:

"Call me nanny, sister, nurse, whatever, but respect my job."

Lalita DSilva reacts to the claims of getting a salary equal to PM

Going forward in the interview, Lalita DSilva was asked if her salary is equal to that of the PM. To this, she added that people often asked her the same question again and again, and she continued to say that she would hope for the same, but now she feels that she should get that amount as her salary because she has started her own business. For the unversed, Lalita was reported to get a whopping amount of Rs. 2.5 lakh per month. In Lalita's words:

"People compared my salary to that of the PM during the Taimur phase. I used to say I hope I get that much. But honestly, I must get paid that much because I have started my own business.”

Lalita DSilva shares that she deserves the same salary as the PM

In the same interview, Lalita justified why she should get paid that much. She shared that she works 24/7 a day with no holidays and no functions. Lalita added that any corporate executive has a balanced life while she works around the clock. She added that it's her right to get that much money, and people should start offering her the same. Lalita can be quoted as saying:

"Salary-wise, a lot was written about me. However, a few know but I am working 24/7, no holiday, no festivals, I am on duty round the clock. Besides that, any corporate executive level, they have a balanced life. I have none. What am I getting? I am always with the client. I have the right to take that much money, and they should give me that much."

Tamiur's nanny recalled Kareena Kapoor Khan's reaction to the claims of the former getting a salary in lakhs

Earlier, in an interview with Hindi Rush, Tamiur's nanny talked about a lot of things. She was asked if she actually gets Rs. 2.5 lakh per month. To that, she told the interviewer, 'apke muh me ghee sakkar'. Well, talking more about the same, Lalita mentioned that she once was so caught up by these rumours of her salary being in lakhs that she asked Kareena if the actress would really pay that much of an amount. Recalling Kareena's reaction, Lalita added:

"These are all jokes sister. Don’t take it all seriously.”
