Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan is hitting the headlines for his recently-released film, Adipurush, wherein he played the role of 'Ravana'. The actor was missing from all the promotional events of the film, which raised many eyebrows. Reportedly, Adipurush is produced on a budget of Rs. 500 crores, making it the most expensive Indian film ever created. However, it has received mixed reactions from the audience.
On June 17, 2023, Saif Ali Khan took his sons, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan to the special screening of his newly-released movie, Adipurush in Mumbai. Now, a goofy photo of Saif and his sons has surfaced online, and it is going viral on the internet. In the picture, the two boys can be seen posing for the lens while covering their eyes with their hands as Saif posed with them with a big smile. The trio was seen wearing 3D glasses in the photo.

As soon as the picture was shared on Reddit, netizens were quick to react to the same. Taking a nasty dig at how bad the movie was, social media users claimed that Saif was suggesting his fans not to watch the film. While one user wrote, "Kaam aisa karo ki 4 bache tumhara movie dekh ke muh chupa le", another one commented, "Lol low key feels like he's doing a joke about how bad it is (with the kids' eyes covered). During his appearance on the show, The Kapil Sharma Show, the host, Kapil Sharma asked the reason behind Saif Ali Khan not using social media and mentioned that it was a good thing as there is too much tension. To which, Saif gave a witty response and revealed that he could not get his user ID under his name. Mentioning that there are already names under the handle, 'Saif Ali Khan', the actor stated that he feels that one has to lie a lot on social media. Talking about the same, he said:
“I tried joining, but I couldn’t find an ID. My name is Saif Ali Khan, and I tried joining, but there are already names under that handle…I feel there is a lot of tension and you’ve to lie a lot. I do lie. But you can get stuck on social media, whether you have to praise this person or that one, I am happy as I am.”
On October 3, 2022, while scrolling through our Twitter feed, we stumbled upon a few pictures of Saif Ali Khan from the film, Adipurush, featuring Prabhas in the lead. In the photo, we could spot Saif in a beardy avatar and kohl-rimmed eyes, making a ghastly face. As soon as the clips from the movie went viral on the internet, netizens started to troll the actor for portraying the Hindu brahmin, 'Raavan', in the wrong way.

Many criticised Saif Ali Khan and the filmmakers for depicting the infamous villain of the mythology, Ramayan, 'Raavan', with a beard. One user wrote, “He is looking more like Babar or Aurangzeb or Taimur but certainly not Raavan.” Another netizen commented, “How is this look of Raavan? Raavan was a Hindu Brahmin from Northern Region.”
