Netizens were not impressed with Aadar for calling Alekha his first crush. He was previously in a very public relationship with Tara Sutaria, and although the relationship ended, discarding the actress with such a statement did not sit well with many. Disappointed over the caption, a user wrote, "First crush? Who was Tara then?". Another netizen commented, "You had her in your mind while dating Tara."
