In today's day and age, being a celebrity comes with its own set of challenges. A little mistake can land someone in serious trouble. Recently, the American rapper, Cardi B's concert at Drai's Beachclub in Las Vegas last weekend caught significant media attention as she hurled a mic while performing.
The American rapper, Cardi B was performing last weekend in Las Vegas. She was seen wearing an orange skimpy dress. During her performance, she went close to the edge of the stage, and someone hurled a liquid towards her. Cardi got enraged by this, and then she flung her mic towards the offender in a jiffy. She then yelled at the individual before her security leapt from the stage into the crowd and arrested the offender.

Following the whole fiasco that happened during Cardi B’s performance, a woman who was standing beside the alleged perpetrator reported the incident to the Las Vegas Metro PD. The woman stated that the microphone even hit her on the head. When Cardi threw the microphone at the individual who had thrown a drink, it bounced off and hit the woman standing next to him.
Multiple videos available online confirm that the microphone did indeed bounce off and hit the woman. Before the incident, Cardi B and her DJ had requested the audience to pour water on her to help her cool down in the scorching heat. However, it was evident that she was displeased with something that was thrown at her during the performance.

On Monday i.e., July 31, 2023, the woman reached out to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report a case of battery. According to the news agency, AFP, the incident occurred on July 29, 2023, at a property situated on Las Vegas Boulevard's 3500 block. The victim, who was attending a concert at the time, was struck by an object that was thrown from the stage. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released a statement regarding the incident and said they will be looking into the matter.

It was reported that rapper Cardi B was a suspect in a battery case, but there were no updates on the involvement of the district attorney. The police concluded on August 3, 2023, that Cardi B did not violate any laws. As a result, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will not pursue charges against her for throwing a microphone at a fan. According to a report by TMZ, Cardi's lawyers, Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said that Las Vegas Metropolitan PD will not be filing any charges against the rapper. They said:
"This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi. On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept's diligent and prompt resolution of this matter."

The microphone that Cardi B hurled at a concertgoer is being auctioned on eBay at USD 99,900 which is approximately 82 lakhs in INR. Many fans have expressed interest in buying this mic. The microphone being auctioned is a Shure Axient digital Mic. The seller is Scott Fisher, who owns The Wave, an audio business that provides audio services to some of the most popular nightclubs in Las Vegas.
