In our childhood days, we all have played ghar-ghar with our barbie dolls and wished to marry our prince charming one day. And when that day comes, we all want to put our best foot forward and look pretty in front of that prince charming! A wedding gives away a mixed emotion to the bride-to-be. There's happiness and sadness, nervousness and excitement to start a new chapter of life.
To make the special day even more appropriate, a bride tries to make a great fashion impression on the others. From different colour palettes to unique designs on lehengas and sarees, a bride selects her outfits for the big events as she would be the centre of attention on her D-Day. Thus she has to look her best and nothing can go wrong if one of the most renowned fashion designers stays by your side.

We came across this bride, Seema Bansal Chadha, who had trusted Anita Dongre's intricate designs and unique colour patterns for her wedding couture. The bride had looked stunning and had turned every head present there on her big day!
Seema had tied the marital knot with her prince charming in an Anand Karaj ceremony. She looked very pretty in a burnt orange coloured lehenga choli, and it was adorned with heavy intricate designs in floral motifs with silver thread, zari and resham. The skirt had gota patti work and scalloped hemline with dropping latkans. She had paired the lehenga with a blouse embroidered on the sleeves and border and a sheer dupatta embellished at the trim. The outfit was inspired by Mughal and Rajasthani culture, designed by the ace designer, Anita Dongre.

The bride had accessorised her look with a traditional royal jewellery set, following Mughal and Rajasthani looks. She had worn a pearl embedded choker piece adorned with floral motifs, a coordinated set of jhumkas, long haar, a nath, a maang teeka and a passa. She had decorated her bridal bun with floral carnations and had kept her kaleera simple.
For makeup, Seema had opted for bright eyes-nude lips combination. She had completed her whole outfit with winged smokey eyes, thick lashes, highlighted corners, well-defined brows, contoured and highlighted cheekbones and nude brown lip shade. She had put a red bindi to round off her look!

On her mehendi, the then bride-to-be, Seema had worn a hot pink coloured ruffle-styled lehenga choli with rose and casting out evil eye motifs incorporated in it. She had looked gorgeous while adorning her hands with henna. She had accentuated her outfit with a pair of statement earrings and had kept her hair open in soft curls. She had completed her look with pink smokey eyes with thick lashes, blushed cheeks and a pink tint on her lips.
For her maiyan, she had opted for peach and baby pink coloured salwar suits and had paired them with embroidered dupattas. She had accessorised it with a beautiful choker piece for one outfit, while for the other, she had chosen a pair of statement earrings embedded with stones. She had rounded off her look with winged liner and nude lips.
Seema and Sunny had arranged two sets of sangeet ceremonies. The couple had coordinated their outfits in pastel grey colour on the first day of sangeet. The then bride-to-be had worn a gorgeous silver coloured gown embellished with shimmers and multi-coloured floral motifs, and she had paired it with a sheer cape adorned with sequins. The outfit was designed by Tarun Tahiliani and his team.

She had accentuated her outfit with a pair of earrings and had completed her whole lookbook with grey smokey eyes, maroon tinted lips and a bindi. She had kept her hair in a curly ponytail. The couple had dazzled in lights while posing for the camera. The then groom-to-be had complemented his look with his bride.
On the second day of sangeet, the bride's costume had looked like she had incorporated all the stars in the sky on her outfit. She had resembled a star. She had donned a royal blue coloured lehenga choli adorned with sequins designed in a constellation style, embellished with zodiac motifs and casting out evil eye signs. She had completed her look with a braided ponytail, smokey dark kohled eyes, a bindi, contoured cheeks and nude lips. She had accessorised the whole outfit with a pair of statement earrings embedded with blue and white stones.
The groom had also looked dapper in his sangeet outfit, a velvet fabric induced sherwani designed with golden zari work. The couple's pictures were enough to say how much they had enjoyed their wedding ceremonies.
