Falling in love is the most beautiful feeling and falling for someone, who adores you makes it even more beautiful. Having someone, who holds you close during your lowest points and always have his/her back makes life blissful. When a couple is in a relationship, they remain in their happy paradise without caring about others. Similar emotions have been experienced by Star Plus’ Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee co-stars, Tina Philip and Nikhil Sharma, who had played reel-life siblings to one another. Tina Philip and Nikhil Sharma had met on the sets of Star Plus’ short-lived daily soap, Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee. The two had played the role of a brother and sister in the serial and had fallen for each other. On August 4, 2019, the duo had gotten engaged and had looked adorable with each other. The duo was set to tie the knot in April 2020 but has postponed their wedding, amidst the outbreak of Coronavirus.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Tina opened up about her wedding plans and how she had to postpone it due to the virus. Talking about the same, she revealed, “We were planning to have two weddings — a Christian wedding in Mumbai on April 4 and a Hindu wedding in Haridwar at a later date. My relatives from the UK, US and the Middle East were supposed to attend the wedding. However, we have postponed both the ceremonies now. I have heard of some couples getting married with just their parents in attendance, and postponing the celebrations to a later date. Unfortunately, we can’t even do that as my parents are in the UK and will not able to fly to India.”
The actress further revealed that she and her fiancé, Nikhil Sharma were looking forward to the wedding as they had waited for eight months after the engagement so that they get enough time to make all the arrangements. She also stated that she wanted to meet her's and Nikhil’s family and felt sorry for the losses incurred by her closed ones' due to the wedding being postponed. On August 10, 2019, Tina had taken to her official Instagram handle and had shared the good news of her engagement (which happened on August 4, 2019). Sharing a lovely picture with the love of her life from their engagement ceremony, Tina had written “Got a piece of jewellery I'll never take off! Engaged to my soulmate”, followed by a ring emoji. She had shared another picture from the ceremony and had worded it as “And so the adventure begins.” She had also taken to her Instagram stories and had shared a few more pictures from the ceremony.

In an interview with The Times of India, Tina Philip had revealed how she had fallen in love with her reel-life sibling, Nikhil Sharma. She had stated, “In my defence, we barely had scenes together because he shot on another set. During the only scene that we shot together, he had to lift me after I fainted. Though it wasn’t mentioned in the script, he kissed me on my forehead. I was in utter shock (laughs!). Having said that, I, too played a prank on him on the first day of his shoot; he had joined the show midway. However, he took it really well.
