Legendary actor, Jeetendra had married his fan, Shobha Kapoor in 1974, and the proud parents had given birth to Ekta Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor. While Ekta has maintained a name for herself as a producer in the industry, her brother, Tusshar has also engraved his status as a talented actor. The next generation of this family consists of Jeetendra and Shobha's grandchildren, Laksshya Kapoor (born to Tusshar via IVF) and Ravie Kapoor (born to Ekta through surrogacy). On November 20, 2020, Bollywood actor, Tusshar Kapoor is celebrating his 44th birthday with his family and on his special day, his elder sister, Ekta Kapoor took to her Instagram stories and shared an unseen picture with him from their childhood days. In the picture, while on one side, the birthday boy looked nothing less than a cotton ball, leaning on his sister's shoulder. On the other hand, Ekta looked much-more serious as she looked away from the camera. The brother-sister duo looked mesmerisingly cute in the picture, and it's hard not to fall in love with them in split seconds. A few months ago, in a conversation with Pinkvilla, Tusshar had talked about being compared to his sister, Ekta often by the media. When asked if the constant comparison has ever bothered him, the actor had said that it had never bothered any one of them. They both have faced highs and lows. He had said, "No, it never really bothered me because we were in different career paths, she is a producer, and I am an actor. There were some years when her work was successful, and then there were some years when mine was. For example, when Golmaal would come out, there would be a hit in the family, we would celebrate that as well. We have both had our shares of ups and lulls. I don't think there is any scope for comparisons really."

Tusshar Kapoor had also talked about how the two consciously try to maintain a distance from each other's space while being there for each other. He had said, "Of course, logon ne bohut ungli karne ki koshish ki thi, but we have risen above that. We have had our fights also not just about career but otherwise also. We never stuck in that though. I keep my work away from her, and she does the same. We try to strike a balance and consciously try not to creep in each other's space."
