Born as Ravi Kapoor, Jeetendra is one of the finest actors of Indian cinema. He had met Shobha Kapoor when he was struggling to make a mark in Bollywood. In 1974, the two had embarked on their 'happily ever after' journey. Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor are proud parents of soap opera queen, Ekta Kapoor and actor, Tusshar Kapoor and are living a happy life with their grandchildren, Ravie Kapoor and Laksshya Kapoor.

On April 7, 2021, Jeetendra had turned 79, and his doting daughter, Ekta had penned a heartmelting birthday wish for him. She had taken to her IG handle and had shared some lovely moments of her father. Along with the video, Ekta had revealed which is the one thing she had imbibed from him. She had written, “Happie bday papa! U r d wind beneath My wings!!! U helped me grow n supported me when I chose to be a producer! Love is acceptance u taught me that! Love u.”
A few hours back, Tusshar Kapoor took to his IG handle and shared some adorable pictures of his father, Jeetendra’s 79th birthday celebrations. The veteran actor celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake with his wife, Shobha Kapoor, son, Tusshar Kapoor and grandsons, Laksshya Kapoor and Ravie Kapoor, while his daughter, Ekta Kapoor was missing. Jeetendra looked ecstatic while cutting and feeding his birthday cake to his loved ones. Along with the pictures, Tusshar wrote in Hindi, “Baar baar din ye aaye, haapy birthday to you #papasbirthdaycelebration #happybirthdaytoyou.”

Tusshar Kapoor had broken all the stereotypes when he had decided to opt for single parenting. He had welcomed a baby boy, Laksshya Kapoor, via surrogacy on June 1, 2016. Following the footsteps of her brother, Tusshar, Ekta Kapoor too had welcomed a baby boy, Ravie Kapoor in her life via surrogacy on January 31, 2019.

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Jeetendra had expressed his pride over the kind of father, his son, Tusshar Kapoor is, to Laksshya Kapoor. He had mentioned that Tusshar is the father he couldn't be and had said, "When I look at Tusshar, he makes me proud. What a wonderful father he is. I was not even one percent of what he is. This is all the realisation that has come with age and lockdown. After all, you learn till you go to your grave."
Even the doting daddy, Tusshar had opened up on the importance of giving time to kids, in a conversation with ET Times and had said, "This is a crucial time in the lives of our children. Kids need our attention and it’s up to us to understand that. I’ve always been attentive towards Laksshya’s needs. Now, since both of us are homebound, we have to find ways to keep ourselves engaged. His school lessons take up a few hours in the day. In the evenings, instead of going to a park or playzone, we go to the terrace or have races in the compound of our house with our staff."
A few weeks back, we had stumbled upon a monochrome picture of Jeetendra with Tusshar and Ekta. In the picture, the brother-sister duo had looked adorable as they had sat on their father's lap and had happily posed for the camera. Jeetendra has often revealed in his various interviews that how he rarely got any time with his kids because of his busy schedules. However, this throwback picture of him with his children had spoken volumes about the love he has for them.
