The iconic South Indian actor and the Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, commonly known as N.T. Rama Rao's clan is going through severe pain. The reason behind it is the demise of the legendary actor's daughter, Uma Maheswari, on August 1, 2022. She was found dead at her residence in Hyderabad. Uma was 57 and was leading a family with her husband, K. Sreenevasa and their two daughters. The tragedy shocked the entire South Indian film industry as well as the members of the NTR clan.
For the unversed, N.T. Rama Rao was blessed with four daughters and eight sons, and it is simply painful to witness the demise of his youngest daughter, Uma Maheswari. As per the early media reports, Uma was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her bedroom. As soon as the police reached her home, they shifted the body for autopsy. In a conversation with India Today, Jubilee Hills police official Rajashekhar Reddy had said:

"According to a preliminary investigation, she was under depression due to ill health. A case has been registered, and the body has been shifted to Osmania hospital."

Late legendary actor, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao had got married two times in his life. The first time he got married was back in 1942 when he had tied the marital knot with Basavatarakam Nandamuri. Together they had welcomed their daughter, Uma Maheswari. Other than her, the couple also welcomed 11 more kids, eight sons and three daughters. However, in 1985, N.T. Rama Rao and Basavatarakam ended their marriage, after which the former got married to Lakshmi Pandit in 1993.

Unlike most of her family members, Uma Maheswari was more of a private person, who never used to open up about her personal life in the media. Also, she hardly attended any events or glamourous parties, and for most of her life, she maintained a long distance from shutterbugs. That is one of the biggest reasons why not everyone is aware of the fact that Uma Maheswari's first marriage was to a businessman named Narendra Rajan.

After Uma Maheswari's marriage to Narendra Rajan, the couple led a happy married life for some time. However, soon cracks had started appearing in their married life. If reports are to be believed, there was a time when Narendra had reportedly started beating Uma. After allegedly getting beaten up by her husband a couple of times, Uma had filed for divorce, and soon she ended her marriage with Narendra.
After her divorce from her ex-husband, Narendra Rajan, she fell in love again. This time, Uma Maheswari tied the marital knot with a US-based businessman, K. Sreenevasa, back in December 2021. According to reports, Uma was leading a happy married life with her second husband, K. Sreevesa and two daughters.

If reports are to be believed, Uma Maheswari allegedly suffered from mental health-related problems. Not only this, but she was also undergoing some mental health-related treatment. The reports claim that Uma died due to suicide, and it is heartbreaking to see someone ending their own life. However, a probe into the suicide case of Uma Maheswari is still in progress.
