Juhi Chawla is one of the most renowned actresses in the Hindi film industry. The diva is known for her breathtaking beauty and phenomenal acting mettle. She kickstarted her career in the glamour world, when she took part in the Miss India pageant in 1984, and bagged the crown for the same. She made her path-breaking debut in 1988 with the film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which went on to fetch her the Filmfare Award For Best Debut that year. Thereafter, the actress hasn’t looked back in her professional career. Speaking about her personal life, Juhi is married to the businessman, Jay Mehta and the duo is parents to their son, Arjun and their daughter, Jahnavi.
While scrolling through our social media feed, we stumbled upon an unseen picture of Juhi Chawla, back during her Miss India pageant-winning moment. In the clip, Juhi looked so young and unrecognisable as she donned a beautiful saree. However, what caught everyone’s attention was that Juhi was being crowned by none other than the legendary actress, Rekha. The latter looked proud and happy, as she placed the crown on Juhi’s head.

Apart from the winning moment, we also caught hold of a specific clip of the actress from the round for national costumes during the Miss India pageant. For the same, Juhi could be seen wearing a beautiful pink-hued saree, that essentially channelled the grace of Indian outfits. However, what caught our attention was the moment when Juhi charmingly introduced herself to the audience and judges, and began with a traditional namaste. She could be heard as:
“Namaste, I am Juhi Chawla from Bombay, India.”

In one of her older interviews with The Times Of India, Juhi Chawla had spoken about some of the failures that she had seen in her film career and revealed how she dealt with them. The diva mentioned that it used to shake her up a lot during those phases, and she used to cry over them for days. However, with time, she became aware of the mechanisms in the film fraternity and got used to it all.

In an earlier interview with Rajeev Masand, Juhi Chawla was asked whether she regretted not doing certain films that she was offered. To this, the diva revealed a few popular films, which she had refused to work in, and, those in turn, ended up being superbly successful. Calling herself pig-headed, Juhi had mentioned:
“I became pig-headed. I suddenly thought the industry will stop if I don’t work. I got some amazing chances to work in films, but my ego came in the way. I didn’t do some films, which I could have done, which may have been harder work and more competitive. I just didn’t do them because I wanted the easy stuff and I wanted to work with people I was comfortable with. I didn’t break barriers.”
