From out-of-the-way pranks, fighting over the remote and snatching the last slice of pizza to unnecessary hate (and love), bhai-behen ka rishta is indeed one of a kind! Amidst all the silly arguments and fights, there’s a reservoir of unconditional love lying beneath it. Even though brothers don’t ace the art of expressing their emotions, but when the time of their sister’s wedding arrives, they do everything to make her smile. From feeding her while her mehendi is being applied to walking her down the aisle and completing other rituals as a brother, sister’s wedding is one amazing feeling that a brother can never describe in words. Something similar was experienced by Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s son, superstar Ranbir Kapoor at his sister, Riddhima Kapoor’s wedding. On January 25, 2006, Riddhima Kapoor tied the knot with her ‘best friend’, a Delhi-based industrialist, Bharat Sahni. To mark the occasion of completing 13 years of togetherness, Riddhima and Bharat posted heartwarming wishes for each other.

On January 25, 2019, Riddhima wished her husband, Bharat on their 13th anniversary and congratulated him for ‘the best decision he had made’. Riddhima wrote, “‘Happy (teen) 13 ’- You were my best friend & will forever be! We have come a long way & today we celebrate the best decision you made #tomanymoreyearsofhappiness #creatingnewmemories #toannoyingyoualotmore Happy 13th Anniversary to us”. On the other hand, Bharat captioned his anniversary post as, “Can’t believe it’s been 13 years from this day. Here’s to love, laughter and happily ever after. Happy anniversary my @riddhimakapoorsahniofficial”.
But what’s extra-special in Bharat’s anniversary post was the unseen throwback pictures that he shared along with the message from their wedding. Amongst some unseen glimpses from their saat pheres, there are two pictures of Riddhima’s brother, Ranbir Kapoor fulfilling his brother duties at his sister’s wedding. Ranbir can be seen performing Laja Homa, wherein the brother of the bride puts laja (puffed rice, a symbol of prosperity) in the couple’s hands. In another picture shared by Bharat, we can see a glimpse bride, Riddhima’s father, Rishi Kapoor sitting beside his daughter waiting for the kanyadaan ritual. But before we show you the capture, we have an interesting story about Rishi Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor to tell you about. On November 14, 2018, Neetu Kapoor shared an emotional post perfectly essaying the father-daughter bond. She posted a picture of the newspaper cutting which revealed an amazing story of how Rishi ji coped up with Riddhima shifting to Delhi after marriage. Neetu Kapoor captioned her post as, “Without children our wallets wld be full: houses clean: anxiety levels lower: but our lives would be incomplete thank you for bringing a meaning to our lives n for being a reason of our existence”. The newspaper report stated that when Riddhima shifted to Mumbai, Rishi Kapoor would Facetime with her every single day, without fail. And in case, when Riddhima couldn’t pick his call, he would get very upset. After a point, Neetu ji explained him to be flexible with his video call routine with Riddhima as she is busy shouldering responsibilities as a wife, daughter-in-law and mother.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Bharat Sahni welcomed an angel in their lives on March 23, 2011. Their princess, Samara, or as everyone fondly calls her as Sam, is the apple of everyone’s eyes. Though her mamu, Ranbir Kapoor is not on social media, Neetu Kapoor keeps everyone updated with the cute pictures of this mama-niece duo, Ranbir and Samara, showcasing how special they are to each other.
