If there is one thing Uorfi knows, it's how to capture everyone's attention. Whether with her bold outfits, witty comments, or personality, she is always making headlines and is an all-rounded entertainer. Uorfi Javed, who rose to prominence for her participation in Bigg Boss OTT, is now one of the most talked-about social influencers and entertainers. And it's not a surprise that the social media star is grabbing everyone's attention once again.
Uorfi Javed is well known for being her outspoken and unfiltered self. So, when her friend posted about PETA's refusal to help an injured bird, the Follow Kar Lo Yaar actress took a stand against People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) the Uorfi way. The social media star called the organisation a scam after PETA failed to respond to her designer friend, Shweta Gurmeet Kaur's call for help. The designer posted a video of an injured bird and tagged PETA India, seeking urgent help, but received no response.

The designer, Shweta Gurmeet Kaur, posted her first story, tagging PETA India after they did not answer her call for help. Although after posting the Instagram story, she could get in touch with the organisation, they still seem to fail to help. Shweta posted another Instagram story saying that the organisation is refusing to help because they are busy. She further added that the lady from the organisation just gave her the number of another helpline and hung up. Sharing the story, she wrote:
"I called PETA India. They clearly said that they can’t help because they are busy. I was talking to a lady. And when I asked, please help, then she said we can’t help and shared some other pet help numbers they might help you. I said share the number; I can write it down, and she just hung up on me."
After Shweta shared the second story, an upset Uorfi took to her Instagram story and reshared the story, penning down her disappointment in the organisation. She shared that PETA India is a scam. Uorfi also called the organisation hypocrites, who only help those from whom they can get publicity. She wrote:
"PETA India is a scam! Unless you’re famous and they know they can get publicity out of you, they don’t care. Bunch of hypocrites. Also can soemone please help @shwetagurmeetkaur to get aid for an injured ainmal."
Uorfi is often criticised for her statements and choices, but she continues to voice her opinions on various social issues. The social influencer is known for being an active advocate of body positivity and freedom of fashion choices. As for her professional life, she was recently seen as a mentor on Season 4 of the world's first gaming entertainment show, Playground.
