One of the most loved actresses of all time, Urmila Matondkar is the epitome of natural beauty. From being a versatile performer, and an extraterrestrial beauty blessed with the best dancing feet in her era, the heroine has won millions of hearts by proving that an ordinary girl from a small place can also make it big in Bollywood.
Urmila Matondkar had tied the knot with her then-boyfriend, Mohsin Akhtar, on March 3, 2016, and it had both delighted and irked (because of inter-religion marriage) many people across the country. However, neither the actress nor her husband has ever let this negativity affect their personal life. In fact, they both enjoy and cherish the diversity of their culture and religion.

Urmila Matondkar also recalled the times when she was in Konkan and had enjoyed the Ganpati celebrations, the last time. She told the publication, ''I must have been really tiny when I visited our native place during Ganpati celebrations. I was mesmerised. There are these gushing rivers where we perform an aarti and kirtan and later complete the visarjan vidhi. The atmosphere was so pious and beautiful. I still remember the taste of the cashew and coconut sweets made at home. The celebrations are completely in tandem with Mother Nature. As I grew up, the visits to our native place became infrequent because of my school schedules.''
