A little girl at the age of 6 had made her debut with a TV commercial and years later, bagged her first show, Dekh Bhai Dekh. But it was in 2001 when she became a household name as the most iconic vamp ever in the form of Komolikaa. From her hair twirling, rolling eyes, killer bindi, vicious smile to her signature tune of 'Nikaaa' played in the background as she contemplated her next evil move, the character became a part of Urvashi Dholakia and even today, she is associated with Komolikaa. Urvashi Dholakia, at a tender age of 16, had tied the knot, only to be blessed by motherhood when she was 17. Hardly a year-and-a-half into marriage, Urvashi had parted ways with her husband and since then, she has been raising her twins as a single mother. Single mother, Urvashi has no qualms in raising her twins, Kshitij Dholakia and Sagar Dholakia without a partner, and she has been juggling her professional front and motherhood quite well.

With some iconic roles in her kitty, Urvashi Dholakia has become a household name and has successfully created a niche for herself in the television industry. So, she believes that if her twins, Kshitij Dholakia and Sagar Dholakia want to debut in the industry, they will have to work hard and make a name for themselves. Sagar and Kshitij were assistant directors for Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl and have aspirations to become actors. In an interview with BollywoodLife, when Urvashi was asked to comment on her twins’ popularity on the social media, she had retorted, "Don't tell them that... chane ke jhaad pe chadh jaayenge." Commenting on their preparations for Bollywood, Urvashi had said, "Yes they do have aspirations to come to the field. As a mother I truly love them and wish them the best. Now let's see what happens aage chal ke (in the future); how far they go, because they have to push themselves. They have to work hard. Nothing is coming on a platter to them for sure."
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Urvashi Dholakia had confessed that she had faced a lot of taunts and personal attacks related to societal taboos for her decision to be a single mother. Urvashi had stated, "The picture was very different 24-25 years ago. The societal pressure, the taboo of being a single mother was obviously there but it did not bother me. Of course, within the family too, people were a bit reluctant and hesitant about it. Today, it has become a fad. Everything in my life happened very early. Of course, there are a lot of people who came and went in the interim and said a lot of things to me, a lot. Some said behind my back, some of them said brutally on my face, very personal attacks on me but then if I start all this affecting me, I wouldn't be where I am. I had no choice but to ignore all of them." (Also Read: Mira Kapoor Posts An Unseen Picture With Her Girl Gang, Her Lehenga Is A Perfect Summer Wedding Pick)
