Usher, a well-known American singer and songwriter, has been hitting the headlines for the last few days. The musician has been busy with his recent Raymond & Brown Tour with Chris Brown, and several incidents have led him to grab attention. Only a few days ago, a video from his concert made rounds and went viral instantly, as one of the fans was escorted off the stage for being uncomfortable due to his flirty stage acts.

Social media users blasted the female fan for the kind of reaction she had, and she also shared her side of the story. Now, Usher is back in the discussion again, as a section of social media is convinced that he might have hired a lookalike to perform in his place during the recent concert. Usher addressed the recent buzz and revealed the truth around the claims that it was not him but his clone who had been performing at his concerts.

Usher reacts to the speculations around him hiring a lookalike to perform in his place during a recent concert

To note, the clone buzz surrounding Usher began back on August 7, 2026, when several photos of the musician started surfacing on social media. The photos and clips were from his recent concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. According to a certain section of netizens, Usher looked completely different from his usual self.

The main post claiming the same garnered 4 million views, and people started a thread about it, agreeing that they also felt Usher looked simply different. This claim eventually brought up the clone theory, one of the much-discussed topics in Hollywood. While some believed that it was Usher only, others argued and gave their opinions on why they felt that it was a body double or lookalike of the singer, hired by him to perform at his recent concerts.

The speculations were so intense that Usher had to come forward to reveal the truth. The official R&B Tour account recently posted a video of the musician performing, and along with this, another screenshot was attached that featured his comments about the recent clone theories surrounding him. He straightaway denied the buzz and laughed off the comments, calling the commenters 'funny'. He also questioned how he could be cloned, along with mentioning that even AI hasn't been advanced to that point. Usher, clearly dismissing the clone theories, wrote in the comments:

"Ya’ll are funny…clone? They can’t clone this?? How ya’ll come up with this? AI ain’t that advanced."

What happened at Usher's previous concert?

To add, Usher's concert from last month also grabbed significant attention. It so happened that, just like at his regular concerts, a female fan was pulled onto the stage. Usher, who is known for his flirty stage acts with his female fans, did the same with the female fan, pulling her onto the stage on July 27, 2026.

However, things didn't go as they generally do, as the female fan seemed uncomfortable and gave a tight smile as the musician tried to recline her on the stage. Usher moved past her and, addressing the audience, allegedly said that he didn't think the fan wanted to be on the stage, thus signaling that she should be taken off the stage.

What do you think about Usher's reaction to the recent buzz about him hiring a clone?
