Nitin Chauhaan Took His Life At 35, He Reportedly Struggled With Depression Due To Lack Of Work

Nitin Chauhan, originally from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, came to Mumbai to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming an actor. He was last seen onscreen in Pushkar Pandit's Tera Yaar Hoon Main in 2022. He was also a participant in MTV Splitsvilla 5 and also won MTV Dadagiri. However, on November 8, 2024, Nitin passed away in his Mumbai residence, leaving the entire nation in shock. The actor was only 35 years old.

His co-stars, Sudeep Sahir and Sayantani Ghosh, confirmed the actor's passing through Instagram stories, providing a definitive end to the speculation. However, no further details have been shared. The police report suggests that his death may have been a result of suicide, and now several reports finally confirmed the cause of his death.

Police officials confirm the reason behind Nitin Chauhaan's death

Nitin Chauhaan's untimely death left us all shocked. Now, after investigating the 35-year-old actor's death, the police officials have revealed that Nitin took his own life and there is no foul play involved.

Nitin's wife shared that she and her daughter went to their society's garden, and on their return, they found the actor collapsed on the ground. She revealed that the actor suffered from depression due to a work crisis and was undergoing treatment for the same. Nitin is survived by his parents, sister, wife, and three-year-old daughter.

Nitin Chauhaan's friend was unaware of the actor's emotional struggle

According to Nitin's friend, Kuldeep, the actor had not shared about his emotional struggles with him. He shared how he deeply regrets that Nitin did not call him before making such a decision. Kuldeep recalled how the two always shared everything and how he always invited them to Mumbai. He said:

"I wish he had called me before making this decision. I would have done anything to stop him. We shared everything with each other, and there were no financial problems. He was always the one inviting us to Mumbai, and we had great memories together. Now, all we have are those memories."
