She rose to immense fame after quitting her job at Haldiram's, and then she opened her own vada pav stall in Delhi's Sainik Vihar, which was named 'Mumbai Ka Famous Vada Pav'. This was when her son fell ill, and finally, Chandrika and her husband left their jobs and started working on the stall. Following this, she also got entangled in many controversies after she set a bhandara on the road, and Delhi police detained her from doing it.
But following this, Chandrika Gera Dixit was released and looking at her growing popularity, she was even rumoured to be part of Bigg Boss OTT 3. A few days ago, Chandrika appeared in RealHit's podcast, wherein she revealed that the massive public mockery, which often takes place in her life, took a toll on her mental well-being. She added that people were taunting her that soon her MMS would be available on the internet and compared her to Rakhi Sawant. And this had hugely impacted her, so much so that she thought of ending her life. Chandrika added that there were numerous problems in her life, and she thought that ending her life would solve it all. However, it was her husband and son who helped her combat the mental negativity and jump back to life with a positive approach. She said:
“Ye toh Rakhi Sawant bann gayi hai, iska bhi MMS ayega. Yeh saaei cheezein, matlab aisa lagan na khub ko khatam kaar lu. Woh thought aagya mere mind mein, mein khud ko kharam kar dungi toh sab kuch thik ho jayega."
