Recently, a video of Alia Bhatt made rounds on social media from the trailer launch event of Kalank. In the video, a host asked Alia if she had ever made a decision that ruined everything, and she later regretted it. Meanwhile, Varun chipped in and repeated the question by asking Alia if she ever had made any decision that had affected her family members, cats, or any friend. Varun could be heard saying:

"Apne kabhi koi faisla liye hain, jisne apke ghar pe logo ko effect kiya hai? apke billi ko, ya apko friend ko ya kisi ko?"
For the unversed, Alia Bhatt's ex-beau, Sidharth Malhotra gifted her a cat, whom she named as Edward. Well, the video was reportedly from the time when Sidharth and Alia had broken up. Varun, Alia, and Sidharth made their debut together in the film, Student Of The Year. So, it seemed like Varun had taken a sly dig at Alia. Varun again teased Alia and asked if she had made any decision that had harmed anyone. Alia playfully revealed that she doesn't think that she ever took any decision that ruined someone's life.
The actress said that it often happens that people make decisions in anger in their life, which they regret later, and it happens with everybody. Alia again emphasised that she didn't make any kind of decision that has ruined someone's life. Varun then playfully added:
"I can't say, kahi koi bechara ladka kisi ko thes poucha hain."

During Koffee With Karan 8, Alia Bhatt made a virtual appearance on an episode that was graced by Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. When asked about Sidharth, Alia revealed that the actor is a good singer as well, and he usually sleeps on his birthday.
