Nausheen Ali Sardar made a dynamic impression with her portrayal of the powerful ‘Chandrika Singh Chauhan’ in Zee TV’s newest release, Vasudha. However, what should have been a time of celebration instead turned into one of mourning due to the sudden loss of Nausheen’s eldest brother. In fact, the unforeseen tragedy took place on September 16, 2024, the very same day as Vasudha’s premiere. However, Nausheen received the devastating news nearly 4 hours later due to a rigid set policy.

Nausheen Ali Sardar reportedly shares a very tight bond with all five of her siblings. However, she lost the opportunity to stand by her eldest brother in his final moments due to the no phone policy on set. For the unversed, Nausheen’s brother was aged 48 and passed away suddenly due to a cardiac arrest.

A unit from the Vasudha sets spoke about the actress’s condition with The Times Of India. They revealed that when Nausheen first heard the news after hours had already passed, she was deeply shaken and was not in her right mind. They said:

“Nausheen was devastated when she found out about her brother’s passing. She immediately rushed home. She has been very close to her siblings, and it will take time for her to process the loss. Right now, she is also taking care of her mother and sister-in-law, who are deeply affected by this tragedy.”

Despite dealing with intense grief, Nausheen never let her professionalism slide. She reportedly showed up to the set the very next day and resumed shooting for the show. What possibly helped Nausheen to continue working was her true passion for her role. In an earlier interview, she told The Times Of India:

“Even though I’ve been in the industry for two decades, I’m very selective about the roles I take on. I don’t just choose projects to keep things going. I do it because of my passion for the craft, and I hope my role in Vasudha resonates with the audience.”

Before the premiere of her new show was overshadowed by this huge loss, Nausheen had expressed her excitement at being a part of Vasudha. In conversation with The Times Of India, she revealed why she was thrilled about her role as ‘Chandrika Singh Chauhan’. For Nausheen, the role was challenging and completely different from anything she had ever done before.

She also spoke of her love for the show’s plot. The story revolves around a strong, independent woman and a naive, young girl who got connected. In the same conversation, she expressed her appreciation for the producer, Arvind Babbal. She said:

“I was touched by how Babbalji worked with his team, teaching and guiding them with dedication.”
