Veena Nagda Reveals Alia Bhatt's Preferred Mehendi Design For Film And Ad Shoots, 'She Loves The..'

Veena Nagda is Bollywood's favourite mehendi artist who has adorned almost every actress's hand with henna in their reel and real lives. She is known for her intricate mehendi designs, calm nature and long legacy in her profession. Apart from popular films, Veena's mehendi design completed the wedding look of Bollywood divas like Deepika Padukone and Kriti Kharbanda. In a new interview, Veena revealed her experience of applying mehendi to Alia Bhatt over the years.

Veena Nagda reveals Alia Bhatt likes a round, minimalistic mehendi design 

Alia Bhatt's wedding with Ranbir Kapoor was one of the biggest celebrity weddings in Bollywood. Despite its anticipation, the couple kept things private and simple. Alia's elegant bridal look stole the show, and her minimalistic mehendi became a subject of discussion. Veena recently sat down for an interview with Pinkvilla Hindi Rush and shared her experience of applying mehendi on Alia Bhatt's over the years for different shoots.

Veena went on to add that Alia Bhatt loves mehendi and is always excited to get a mehendi design on her hand. She said that Alia likes a round minimalist mehendi design that she applied to Alia for a commercial ad shoot. And Alia loved the design so much that she got it recreated for her wedding. In Veena's words: 

"She loves the round design hence, we always do it for her."

Veena Nagda shares she first applied mehendi on Alia Bhatt's hand for the shoot of SOTY 

Alia Bhatt made her debut with the 2012 film, Student Of The Year, directed by Karan Johar. Veena mentioned she has been working with Alia since that film, as she applied mehendi to her hand for a few scenes in the film. However, Manish Malhotra asked her to keep the information under wraps as no one knew about her debut initially. She was quoted as saying: 

"That time Manish Malhotra told me to keep it a secret because Alia was just being launched and nobody knew who is the heroine of the movie. Since then, I've always done mehendi for her, for every movie, ad shoots."

Veena Nagda applied mehendi to Deepika Padukone on her wedding day and joined the celebration from her side 

In an interview with Bollywood Now, Veena Nagda shared that she has often decked up leading actresses on their wedding day. Among others, she recalled joining the wedding of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. The henna artist revealed the couple booked her a five-day-long stay at their wedding venue in Italy. Moreover, they gave her complete payment even though her work was only for one and a half days. Veena shared that she applied mehendi to Deepika for the shoot of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani in 2013 when the actress mentioned she would call her for her wedding mehendi as well which she did later.
