Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are among the industry's most adored couples. Being avid social media users, the couple often paint the town red with their mushy PDA moments and romantic banter. In addition, they never miss a chance to praise and support each other during interviews or press conferences. For the unversed, they remained completely tight-lipped about their courtship period until the madly-in-love duo tied the knot on December 9, 2021, in Rajasthan. Now, Vicky spilt some beans about their relationship and also bared his heart out on his wish to get cast together with his wife.
In an interview with Nikhil Taneja, Vicky Kaushal was asked about the characters he would like to play if he and his wife, Katrina Kaif would be cast together. To this, the actor gave an interesting response and mentioned his and Katrina's different personalities. Vicky said he would play the 'silent guy' and said:
“I keep saying that is if we get any film, the characters should be such that we’re playing to our strengths where I’ll be the silent guy, you be the talkative person and we’re coming together. So, I think we will go in sync with what works for us.”

Further, Vicky added that if he ever works with Katrina on any project, two directors will be directing him. Elaborating more on it, he shared how he would like Katrina to go home and talk about certain corrections in his acting. He added:
“But I have told her that on that set there would be two directors for me because one director would be on set and the other one would be another one who would come home and tell me that this was wrong and this was not done correctly and it should be like this, etc."
In the same conversation, Vicky Kaushal revealed how he asked his wife, Katrina Kaif out on a date for the first time ever. Sharing an inside story from their courtship period, the the actor revealed it was just a simple date. However, revealing how he fell for Katrina's human side, Vicky blushed and mentioned:
"Eventually it was as simple as 'Can I take you out for dinner' (over text). But there was a journey to reach that stage and that journey is not for the cameras but eventually it boiled down to as simple as 'Can I take you out for a dinner?' First, I used to feel odd getting attention from her. I used to be like ‘Heh? Are you okay?’ Not that I wasn't giving a lot of attention, it was mutual. For me also, being from the outside and not knowing her as a human being, she was a phenomenon. She still is. It’s just that the human side also added."

"She is very compassionate towards the people around and the environment, that for me is the biggest turn-on for me, always. The thing is in our courtship it didn’t reach a stage when it was suspense, if I ask her for marriage, it might be a yes or a no. We just knew from the beginning that this is extremely serious. We are in this to look for something permanent and we had that understanding.”
On the work front, Vicky was last seen in the films, The Great Indian Family, Dunki and Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, while Katrina is all set for the release of her movie, Tiger 3 with Salman Khan.
