Vidya Balan is one of the most stunning actresses of her generation. Moreover, she has, time and again, mesmerised us with her impeccable fashion sense and body positivity dressing style. On July 12, 2024, Vidya graced Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's youngest son, Anant Ambani's wedding with his ladylove, Radhika Merchant. In a few glimpses shared by the paps, Vidya was spotted entering the wedding venue with her husband, Siddharth Roy Kapur, and the duo indeed shelled some pure couple goals.

For the wedding, Vidya Balan opted for a customised ensemble from the label, Re Ceremonial, which specialises in creating outfits from plant dyes. She wore an Indira Assi Kali ghaghra in a rich yellow tone, and this was an ode to the Siddhivinayak temple. As per the designers, Vidya's ghagra was dyed using marigold flowers that were offered at the temple. The silk cotton chanderi ghagra had a 24-meter ghera, edged with metal lampi gota along the 24-meter circumference and gave a Bundi Rajputani look.

Vidya Balan's choli took 100 hours to make

Vidya's ghagra reportedly got its name from the song, Assi Kali Ro Ghaghro, sung by Indra Dhavasi. She paired it with a hand-embroidered Gulrez choli. The stunning choli featured thread and glass beadwork, and the sleeves are edged with metal gota. Altogether, the choli took more than 100 hours to make as per the designers. It is made from silk and cotton chanderi and is also dyed using marigold flowers from the Siddhivinayak temple.

Not only that, Vidya teamed her unique ghagra choli with a silk organza dupatta to complete her look. Her silk tissue dupatta featured metal sikka kaam. Moreover, it was made with recycled cotton and homroo pallu, both edged with delicate gota work to add an oomph factor to Vidya's overall look.

Vidya Balan teamed her look with minimal accessories and makeup

Vidya accessorised her look with minimal accessories. She opted for a pair of statement earrings with intricate pearl and gemstones detailing, a matching maang teeka, and a traditional hairpin. Soft glam makeup, including blushed and highlighted cheeks, defined brows, thin strokes of eyeliner, a tiny bindi, and rosy pink lips, accentuated her look. Moreover, she tied her hair in a neatly done braid hairdo adorned with gajra.
