Vikrant Massey is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, which is a sequel to the 2021 film, Haseen Dillruba. During promotions of his forthcoming project, Vikrant sat for some heart-to-heart conversations, and during one such chat, he revealed unheard stories from his personal life. For the unknown, the actor tied the knot with his colleague, Sheetal Thakur, in 2022, after being in a relationship for several years before that. The couple is also blessed with a baby boy, whom they named Vardaan.
During his recent chat with YouTuber AminJaz on his Untriggered podcast, Vikrant Massey opened up about his relationship with his wife, Sheetal Thakur. Talking about their bond, he said, “We have been together for almost a decade now. We dated for almost eight years.” Soon, the show's host, AminJaz asked him if it was ideal to date for a long time before settling down. To this, the actor mentioned that it depends from individual to individual, and revealed:

“This worked for me and suited me. Our temperaments suited each other and our life aspirations were similar. We lived together for almost the entirety of our relationship… for almost seven years.”

For the unversed, Vikrant and Sheetal also used to live-in before they finally got hitched. Thus, reflecting on the same, Vikrant mentioned that it was his mom, who gave him multiple advice about their affair. He also recalled that his mother urged them to live with each other before making things official. Elaborating on how his mother has a progressive mindset, Vikrant stated:
“It was my mother who suggested that we stay together. Thankfully, I have really progressive parents. My mother was born and raised in Bombay (Mumbai) in 1962. She’s done her high school education and was pretty progressive. She would listen to bands like ABBA and Boney M, wear stilettos and read Sidney Sheldon and Jawaharlal Nehru. So, that helped. She recommended that we stay together and it worked for us. You get to see different shades of each other; that’s true companionship for me.”
Not only this, in the same conversation, Vikrant walked down the memory lane and recalled how he fell for Sheetal. He mentioned that the two of them met through a common friend. Afterwards, explaining that there was attraction yet contemplation in the same, Vikrant quipped:
“It was love at third sight. On the third day that we met, we realised that there were sparks flying and why not address it. There was an instant attraction. That’s always the first thing, attraction. You don’t fall head over heels immediately; no one does. When I say, ‘it was love at third sight,’ during the first two meetings, it was contemplation and assessment, ‘Should I? Should I not?'”

Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur became parents to their baby boy, Vardaan in February 2024. Soon after the birth of their child, the actor took to his Instagram handle and announced the arrival of his baby boy. He shared a picture note to reveal the newest addition to his family, which featured an illustration of parents holding their baby's hand along with a baby pram, a milk bottle, plants and flowers. Sharing the picture, he penned:
"07.02.2024. For we have become one. We are bursting with joy and love to announce the arrival of our son. Love Sheetal and Vikrant."
