She got the national limelight in 2011 when India prepped for the Indian Premier League, and she captivated the audience on prime-time TV by interviewing cricketers. Now, it looks like Virat and Shibani had a great bond as a tweet reply of Kohli to Shibani has gone viral.
When Virat Kohli hits a century, drops mushy pictures with Anushka Sharma, or doesn't perform well on the field, his fans and critics comment on his posts. Now, his eagle-eyed fans have seen an old tweet from Shibani, who was the anchor of IPL shows in 2011 where Kohli gave a playboy-like comment that read:
"Hello stranger. Hope ur well."
He was hailed as the 'Simp King', 'Greatest playboy' back in 2011. For the unversed, Kohli was a bachelor back then.
Shibani, in 2011, used to even review IPL matches and was there to prove her worth. She was an outsider to the same amid Gaurav Kapoor, Samir Kochar and Archana Vijaya. Apart from Shibani, the remaining three were seasoned in understanding the game of IPL and speaking to cricketers.
Shibani had once revealed in an interview with India Today that her friend had recommended her name when Sony was looking for new IPL anchors. One of the top executives from the show got in touch with her and Shibani recollected:

"When I got to know that they liked my audition, I was really nervous. It's not like I did not want the job but I was wondering how I'd do any justice to it! I was always passionate about cricket but to talk about the game in front of cameras was another thing."
Shibani's dad would not accept no as an answer, being a cricket fan. A nervous and scared Shibani did oodles of homework and information on the players before she was set to go live. Shibani added:
"Before I started, I wrote down the names of players, their teams, their captains and their coaches and stuck them on boards around the house. So every time I walked past one of them, I could revise and remember. It wasn't easy."
