Vivek Oberoi is one of the most commonly recognised actors from Bollywood. He entered the industry in 2002 and soon became one of the most talked-about stars. He was known for his acting skills and good looks but soon got embroiled in some controversies, which affected his career. Despite all the challenges, Vivek has bravely thrived through it. In his personal life, the actor tied the knot with Priyanka Alva in 2010 and has been happily married since then. The couple is blessed with two kids, and Vivek revealed in a new interview how he feels lucky to be married to her.
Vivek Oberoi has often kept his married life low-key. Recently, the actor sat down for an interview with India TV and revealed that he feels lucky to have married his wife, Priyanka. The actor shared that he feels he has done some good deeds because he has a wonderful wife who needs his time. He was quoted as saying:
"I am very lucky. I must have done something really good or maybe it's my parents' blessings that I am blessed with such a wonderful wife. We only fight over time."
Vivek added that his wife doesn't want expensive gifts from him but only wants his love and time. He admitted that he is often busy with work, and despite trying, he isn't good at balancing his work with his personal life. However, he often says to people that if they fight with their wife over time, they are lucky. In his words:
"My wife doesn't want diamonds, fancy bags, or cars, she just wants my love and time. She wants to spend good time with our children and family. I am quite a workaholic, and I am trying to balance things, but I have so much on my plate that I can't help it. Plus, I am a perfectionist, and committed; I give my best to all my work. So, I tell people one thing: if your wife is fighting with you for your time, then you are extremely lucky."
Every married man has some tricks up his sleeve to calm their angry or upset wife. Vivek is no different as a husband. In the same interview, he shared that when Priyanka gets upset, he makes her good coffee on a decorated plate to wake her up. These efforts make her happy, and gradually, her anger fades away. Vivek described these details with a smile on his face. He said:
"It brings a little smile to her face. When she has the first sip of it, she says, 'I am still upset with you' by the time she takes the last sip of her coffee, her anger slips away."
On the work front, Vivek debuted with Ram Gopal Varma's Company in 2002. He went on to star in films like Saathiya, Kaal, Masti, Yuva, Shootout At Lokhandwala and more.
