When Sunny Deol's Secret Wedding Pictures Got Leaked, Here's How His Then-GF, Amrita Singh Reacted

One such actress, who made news back in the 80s and 90s was Amrita Singh who often used to garner limelight due to her personal life even more than her films. Before marrying Saif Ali Khan, the actress reportedly had an affair with actor, Sunny Deol, cricketer, Ravi Shastri and actor, Vinod Khanna.

For the unversed, Amrita Singh made her Bollywood debut with the 1983 film, Betaab, opposite Sunny Deol. According to multiple media reports, Amrita and Sunny came quite close to each other during the shooting of the film, and the actress was totally infatuated with Sunny. Soon, their affair started, and the duo became the talk of the town. However, Sunny had kept a secret hidden from Amrita, which led to a secret and abrupt end of their romance.

When Sunny Deol and Pooja's secret wedding pictures got leaked

It so happened that while Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh were shooting for Betaab, he made frequent trips to England. Reportedly, the actor had got married to his girlfriend, Pooja in England, but he kept his marriage a secret from Amrita. Later that year, pictures from Sunny and Pooja's secret wedding were leaked by a magazine, and it was revealed that Pooja belonged to a business family in England. However, Sunny denied being married to anyone, but Amrita was taken aback when she saw the leaked pictures.

Moreover, the Deol family never wanted the news of Sunny's secret marriage to get leaked as he was just starting his career. Thus, Sunny kept the truth about his marriage hidden from Amrita despite being head over heels in love with her. So later, Amrita Singh made her distance from the actor's family and later denied the rumours of her being in a relationship with him. She was so hurt that she even called her and Sunny's affair a publicity stunt for Betaab.

When Amrita Singh reacted to Sunny Deol's secret affair with Dimple Kapadia

Later, rumours were rife that Sunny Deol was in a relationship with Dimple Kapadia, but they kept their relationship extremely private. According to reports, the duo had also got married at one point in time. Once in an interview with a media portal, Amrita Singh was asked to comment on Sunny and Dimple's relationship, and she slammed the actor for having an extramarital affair. Yahoo quoted her as:

“I think she’s having her cake and eating it too. She’s got nothing to lose, and most importantly, she’s got her guy where she wants him. So what if it’s not heading anywhere? When you’ve already lived a life, you are happy with a relationship that’s at status quo.”

After being heartbroken, Amrita Singh tied the knot with Saif Ali Khan, only to part ways later. On the other hand, Dimple Kapadia and Sunny Deol are still rumoured to be 'more than friends'.
