The popular actor, Tiger Shroff, has already proved his mettle in acting and is one of the most admired actors in the Hindi film industry's younger generation. Born to veteran actor, Jackie Shroff and Ayesha Shroff, Tiger is one such star kid in Bollywood, who has become a superstar without his father's support. He has given stellar performances in his films like Baaghi, Baaghi 2, Heropanti, WAR, and many others. However, we recently stumbled upon an old interview where the actor revealed the reason for popularly being known by his name, Tiger Shroff and not the actual name given by his parents.
Tiger Shroff shares a warm bond with his family. Last year, on March 2, 2021, to mark his birthday, his father and veteran actor, Jackie Shroff, had shared a beautiful picture from the memory lane with his son, and the father-son duo could be seen twinning in the shades of white. In the picture, the doting daddy could be seen tying his little munchkin's shoelaces, who was sitting on his lap and had looked mesmerised seeing his shoelaces getting tied up by his superstar daddy. Also, in the bottom left corner of the picture, we could see a small picture from the exact moment layered atop it. In that layered picture, we can see Jackie lifting his little prince, Tiger, in the air with his hands, and there's no doubt that it's simply a priceless moment.

Tiger Shroff's parents, Ayesha Shroff and Jackie Shroff had named him as Jai Hemant Shroff, after his birth. But since the actor debuted in Bollywood, with his film, Heropanti, on May 23, 2014, he is popularly known as 'Tiger'. In an old interview with the Hindustan Times, Tiger had revealed the reason behind the same and mentioned his biting habit. He had shared that due to his biting habit he had got this name and for this, his teacher in school was also a victim once. He had said:
"I used to bite as a kid ... like bite everyone around. I bit my teacher in school, and even got punished for that."
The Bollywood actor in 2014 had also adopted Lee, a tigress at the Maharajbagh zoo in Nagpur. This was because Tiger wanted to do something for the animal, based on whom he was named. He met Lee for the first time when he had gone to the zoo to promote his film, Heropanti, with actress, Kriti Sanon.

"I was more into sports ... football was my favourite, but then even as a kid I knew that I was being watched ... my father's friends would keep talking about seeing me in Bollywood, someday."
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Jackie Shroff had once recalled one of the proudest moments of his life when his son, Tiger Shroff, had bought back their house, which they had lost after bankruptcy. The veteran actor had praised his son's intention and had said:
"I'm just proud of both my children. They are strong enough and getting the house back. But his thought was nice, his thought was beautiful that he wants to make a house for his mother and his family."
Tiger Shroff's popular name surely matches with his stunning personality!
