Television actress, Rupali Ganguli is currently in the limelight but for all the wrong reasons. The Anupamaa actress recently grabbed attention after her stepdaughter, Esha Verma’s shocking allegations against her. Esha, who is Rupali’s husband, Ashwin K Verma’s younger daughter from his second marriage, revealed truth bombs about the actress and her marriage with Ashwin.
Not only this, Esha also stated how Rupali claimed her marriage to be pious when, in reality, she ruined a happy family by having an extra-marital affair with Ashwin. Esha also called Rupali cruel and controlling and accused her of threatening her and her mother, Sapna Verma. Amid all the fiasco, let us look at unknown details about Rupali Ganguly’s stepdaughter, Esha Verma.
Esha Verma is Ashwin Verma’s younger daughter from his second marriage to Sapna Verma. She also has an elder sister. Esha is a 26-year-old Rutgers University-New Brunswick alumna who lives in New Jersey with her mother and sister. Her mother was former Miss Karnataka.
Ashwin had been married twice before tying the knot with Rupali Ganguly. Details about his first marriage remain private, and no information is available. In 1997, Ashwin married Sapna, and the couple lived happily in New Jersey and California with their daughters.
In a recent interview with Free Press Journal, Esha revealed that she was just 2 years old when her dad, Ashwin’s extramarital affair with Rupali began. In the same interaction, Esha also stated that when she was 13, Ashwin left their home. It was in 2020 when Esha Verma took a dig at Rupali Ganguly by revealing the truth behind her marriage with Ashwin Verma. An excerpt from the post can be read as:
“This is absolutely pathetic. Does anyone know the real story of Rupali Ganguly? She has had an affair with Ashwin K Verma for twelve years while he was in his second marriage. Ashwin has two daughters from his previous marriages. She is nothing but a cruel-hearted woman who has done nothing but tried to separate me and my sister, his own daughters from their father.”
As the post went viral recently, Esha spoke about the overwhelming response that she got from users. When Esha, in an interview with Hindustan Times, was asked about her current dynamics with Rupali, pat came he reply:
“Not really, there’s no relationship between the two of us. She’s just the mother of my brother, and that’s about it.”
Amid the ongoing fiasco, Ashwin Verma reacted to his daughter, Esha’s claims and revealed that she has still not come to terms with her parent’s separation. Taking to his X handle, Ashwin acknowledged that he has two daughters from his previous marriage and wrote:
“I do have two daughters from previous relationships, something Rupali and I have always been open about that I care a great deal about. I understand that my younger daughter still holds a lot of hurt about the dissolution of her parent's relationship as divorce is a difficult experience that can greatly affect and harm the children of that marriage.”
Well, Rupali Ganguly and Ashwin Verma’s family drama has raised many eyebrows. The Anupamaa actress, who advocates women empowerment, is under the radar for allegedly ruining the life of a woman and her two daughters.
