Television actress-turned-Bollywood diva, Yami Gautam is a perfect example of a modern Indian woman, who is struck to her roots. In an intimate wedding, the gorgeousness had left her fans stunned in June by tying the knot with the man of her dreams, Aditya Dhar. Yami and Aditya had announced the news of their wedding in a joint statement on their respective IG handles.
On June 4, 2021, Yami had shared the first-ever picture from her wedding day. Alongside the picture, Yami had written, "In your light, I learn to love - Rumi. With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes. Love, Yami and Aditya."

On August 17, 2021, Yami finally changed her name and added her hubby, Aditya's surname. She is now using Yami Gautam Dhar as her name. Yami had followed the likes of popular actresses, who had proudly added their hubby's surname to theirs. Previously, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas had followed this trend.
After her wedding, Yami has been giving us new bride goals with her sartorial picks. On July 14, 2021, Yami had donned yet another jaw-dropping look for a lunch date with her friends. We could see Yami donning a green and red-hued ensemble in the lovely photos, which had gone viral on the internet. She had accessorised her look with a dazzling diamond mangalsutra, chooda and aatheru.

Yami is a firm believer in staying stuck to one's roots, and her wedding festivity proves it. Since her wedding, the actress has been flaunting aatheru, which is an ear ornament. It is worn traditionally by married Kashmiri women. It is made of three ornamental elements, the dejhoor, the athoor and atah, and is given to the bride by her in-laws.
