Sridevi was undoubtedly one of the finest actresses of her generation. Considered to be a superhit and the highest-paid diva among all her contemporaries, she swooned millions of audiences worldwide with her pathbreaking performances. Be it serious and sombre roles, to the chirpy girl-next-door or even the romantic lady, there has been no end to Sridevi’s versatility. However, it took the 1989-film, Chandni, directed by Yash Chopra, which presented Sridevi in a never-seen-before avatar. However, do you know that the actress was actually not pleased with the pristine white outfits she wore for the most duration of the film? Well, scroll down to know more about it.
Sridevi was one such actress who brought a revolutionary change to the fashion game in the film industry. Her perfect blend of retro style statements with a hint of chic and modern palette was an instant success for the audience. And proof of the same was found with her all-white look in chiffon sarees in Yash Chopra’s film, Chandni. However, let us tell you that the diva didn’t like the idea of wearing only white outfits for the entire film, as she found it quite dull. However, it was Yash Chopra who convinced her to wear the same. In one of his earlier interview, which was later replayed on the Netflix documentary, The Romantics, Yash Chopra could be heard as saying:
“I wanted to dress her (Sridevi) most simply. Chandni should be pure innocence. Sridevi walked up to me and said, Yash ji, why this all white? This is so dull. I told her, I have faith in you as an actor, in your performance, if you have faith in me as a director, I like to present you as I want.”

Sridevi etched a special place in the hearts of millions of her fans, who even today cannot stop themselves to rewatch her magic on the celluloid. Speaking about her personal life, she eloped with filmmaker, Boney Kapoor and the duo tied the knot in June 1996. They were blessed with two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Back in 1997, right after her marriage, Sridevi had made a scintillating appearance at the Filmfare Awards. The diva looked beautiful in a silk saree, teamed with a matching blouse. However, the highlight of her overall look was the exquisite temple jewellery she wore, as well as the fact that she flaunted the signs of a newly-married with the sindoor and mangalsutra.
In an interview with the AsiaSpa magazine in 2011, Sridevi talked about her idea about beauty and wellness. The actress was asked whether her take on ageing and was further probed to reveal if she has specifically done anything to confront ageing. In her response, the diva had mentioned:
“Not that I know of, I'm just going with the flow."

In the same interview, Sridevi was asked the best way she follows to de-stress herself a long day at work. In her reply, the diva mentioned that watching a film with her family relaxes herself after a hectic schedule of work. Moreover, when she was asked about her fitness regime, she said:
"I play outdoor games with my children like tennis, and I try to be regular with my power yoga. I also make it a point to go jogging with my daughter."
