In a one-on-one conversation with Maliha Rehman on her YouTube channel Gloss Etc, the Nayab actress shared her experience of winning two Lux Style Awards (LSA) in 2023. She was nominated for the Best TV Actor (Female) award in both the viewers' choice and critics' choice categories for her stellar performances in the drama, Bakhtawar, and she ended up winning the honours. She said:
“Mujhe ye tha ki Bakhtawar ke naam pe ek toh milna chahiye. I was expecting one award, why should I lie? But do award toh mujhe nahi expect tha.”
The host further asked if people in the industry started treating her harshly or were mean to her after she bagged two awards in LSA 2023. Yumna then revealed that no one had ever been mean to her. The actress said that she is very selfish on the set and keeps her friendship limited. She said:
“Mujhe toh pata hi nahi chalta. People were always nice to me. Mere ird gird jo log, jinse main interact karti thi, shayad jinko maine apni mehfil mein rakha wo sab log acche log the. Toh agar koi mean hota hai toh, I am blessed with this trait ke main bohot jaldi let go kar deti hun.”

“Wahaj aur mera fandom bohot strong hai aur mere aur heroes ke saath bhi jo fandoms hai wo bhi strong hi hai. People love the couple, wo unko on-screen chemistry pasand aati hai.”
Further in the interview, the cast of Nayab and Maliha were discussing social media controversy and how the actors have gotten thick-skinned by now. The host asked Yumna how she reacts to these controversies that surface about her from time to time. She said:
“Now, I have become thick-skinned. Jhooth bohot kam time ke liye hota hai na. Mere bare mein toh itni baatien, linkups aur sab cheezein hai, main kehti hai chalo thik hai. Khamoshi is the best answer aur never responded to it. Halanki main ladki hun, main conscious thi hamesha se. Until and unless bohot zyada kuch na ho toh wo choti moti cheezein ya thumbnails se main bohot zyada bother nahi hoti hun kyunki haqeeqat saamne aa jaati hai.”
