Yuzvendra Taunted Ex, Dhanashree By Wearing T-Shirt Saying 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy' For Court Day

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma's divorce isn't a pleasant one, and it shows in the way the two dealt with the situation. While Dhanashree has been trolled brutally by the cricketer's fans, Yuzvendra seemed to have been deeply hurt as his cryptic posts show his emotional side. However, he is getting back in life, and on the final court hearing, Yuzvendra openly taunted his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma.

On March 20, 2025, Yuzvendra Chaha and Dhanashree Verma arrived at the family court for the final hearing of their divorce petition. However, it was Yuzvendra's outfit of the day that seemed to show he had a tough marriage with Dhanashree Verma as he openly taunted her by wearing a t-shirt with a quote, 'Be your own sugar daddy'. He proudly showed it off in front of the media, which seemed to be a silent message for his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma.

For the unversed, sugar daddy is someone who is an older man who gives money gifts and expensive things to a younger woman. In a way, Yuzvendra silently approved the trollers, who called Dhanashree gold digger. As soon as the photos of Yuzvendra from outside the court went viral, netizens started reacting to it. 

Taking to Reddit, one user wrote, "It goes hard. Alimony enthusiasts feminists triggered but respect for Chahal." A second netizen commented, "Absolutely Yuzi bhai.. don't be a parasite, be your own sugar daddy!" Another one penned, "Ok thats some crazy shirt to wear to your own alimony hearing." 

Yuzvendra Chahal is asked to give final alimony of Rs. 4.75 crore to Dhanashree Verma

According to the court's order, Yuzvendra Chahal is asked to settle the divorce with a final alimony of Rs. 4.75 crore. According to reports, he has paid Rs. 2.37 crore to date, and the rest of Rs 2.38 crore is going to be paid after the divorce. In a video, we also spotted Dhanashree Verma entering the court. She seemed in a hurry and was left visibly upset with photographers running towards her for photos. However, in the chaos, a photographer fell down, and she yelled in anger.

In an official statement to the Hindustan Times, Yuzvendra Chahal's lawyer, Nitin K Gupta, revealed that the couple has filed a divorce petition with mutual consent, and the case is in the Bandra court, Mumbai. The lawyer further stated that the matter is under judicial consideration, and they cannot publicly discuss it as it is legal. The official statement by Chahal's lawyer could be read as:

"Mr. Chahal reached a settlement for obtaining Divorce by Mutual Consent with Mrs. Verma. A Petition for Divorce by mutual consent was presented before the Hon’ble Family Court, Bandra. The matter is currently sub-judice."
