Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are one of newly married couples in Bollywood. Despite dating each other for seven years, the actors kept their relationship under wraps until they tied the knot in a private ceremony in June 2024. The actors met at Salman Khan's house party and soon became good friends. Their relationship has come a long way, and since their marriage, the couple has never failed to express their admiration for each other and share snippets from their unseen moments with their fans. In a new interview, Zaheer Iqbal spoke about how he felt after marrying Sonakshi Sinha.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal took one of their biggest steps after they married under the Special Marriage Act on June 23, 2024. Since their marriage, they often share photos and videos on Instagram about their life after marriage from their daily life. Recently, Zaheer sat down for a small interview with ETimes and revealed that he often forgets they are married. For instance, when he goes to public events with Sonakshi Sinha, he thinks he cannot hold her hand because they kept their relationship private for several years. Later, he realises that he is married and it's ok. He was quoted as saying:

"I still keep forgetting that I'm married to Sonakshi, like when we go in public, I'm like I can't hold her hand, and then I realize, 'ab to shaadi ho gayi.'"
Sonakshi Sinha agreed with her husband, Zaheer's point of view. She also mentioned that nothing has changed between them because they were good friends even earlier. The Dabangg actress said she still feels like they started dating several years ago.
Sonakshi and Zaheer took it to their Instagram handles on September 18, 2024, and shared a beautiful video from their Egypt vacation. The couple took the trip while dating, so they didn't share it with the fans. In the video, Sonakshi and Zaheer enjoyed the adventure activity of paramotoring over the world-famous Pyramids. The much-in-love couple walked hand-in-hand towards the place and mentioned in the caption that they would keep sharing fun throwback pictures and videos from their dating period on Instagram. They captioned it as:
"The absolute BEST way to see the pyramids is to fly over them... Throwback to Egypt!! All the fun stuff coming out of the archives now... perks of being married."

On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha gave one of her career-best performances in 2024 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar in 2024. She was last seen in the comedy-horror film, Kakuda, co-starring Riteish Deshmukh. The actress has taken a short break from work after her marriage to enjoy the new phase of her life.
