On June 17, 2020, Bollywood’s exceptional director, Zoya Akhtar took to her Instagram handle and posted a beautiful picture of the cover of a diary. The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director revealed in her caption that it was given by her mother, Honey Irani on Christmas. Talking about the lines that are written on the cover can be read as “To my daughter, I want you to believe deep in your heart that you’re capable of achieving anything you put your mind to that you will never lose, you either win or learn. Just go forth and aim for the skies, I can’t promise to be here for the rest of your life but I can promise to love you for the rest of mine. Love Mom.” Take a look. Recently on May 10, 2020 (Mother’s Day), Zoya Akhtar had posted a rare and adorable childhood picture with her mother, Honey Irani. In the picture, we could see the mother-daughter duo mirroring each other as they had posed to the camera. On one side, we could see Honey Irani posed for the camera with a little smile on her face. On the other side, it's cute the way little Zoya was trying to replicate her mother. Well, as we all know that Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani’s children, Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar share a beautiful bond with their step-mom, Shabana Azmi, which reflects the good values they’ve imbibed from their mother. A few weeks ago, Shabana Azmi had posted a collage that had included a throwback picture of her husband, Javed Akhtar from his younger days and his son, Farhan’s recent photograph. The veteran actress had shown everyone the striking resemblance not in just of their physical appearance but in their nature and values too. In an interview with the Verve magazine, Shabana Azmi had revealed how her journey with Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar was not as rocky as expected. Shabana ji had said, “They were both very young and it is to their mother’s credit that she did not prejudice them against me. She is the light of their lives and it’s her generosity that helped us all tide through the initial years, which are the toughest.” When asked, “Since a stepmom cannot take the place of the biological mom, how did Shabana steer the children through their tantrums, teenage rebellion, heartbreak and all of the normal aches and pains of growing up?” Shabana Azmi had retorted, “Just as I would have with my biological child. Sometimes with firmness, sometimes with kindness, sometimes with exasperation, but never with insults or humiliation.
