Shah Rukh Khan has been grabbing spotlight off lately, especially due to his frequent appearances in the Indian Premiere League, as and when his team, Kolkata Knight Riders plays a match. From cheering at the stands to motivating the playing eleven back in the green room, SRK has been taking his leadership goals to the next level. On the other hand, the actor is also helming headlines for his next project and line up of work, since fans cannot wait to witness their superstar back in action on the celluloid.
In a recent interaction on Star Sports, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about his next film project, as his fans anticipate for his return to the silver screens with something bigger and better. The actor reminded how he had been busy with three back-to-back films the last year, and remarked requiring some rest, due to the immense physical hard work he put in all of it. In his words:
“I had three releases last year. I just felt ki main thoda rest kar sakta hoon. Teen filmein kar chuka hoon, it took a lot of physical work also. So I said maybe I’ll take some time off.”

Speaking along the same lines, Shah Rukh Khan then revealed that he has promised his team, KKR that he would attend all of their matches, since most of his film shootings are now scheduled later in July-August 2024. Expressing his happiness on attending all the matches of his team, Shah Rukh said:
“I told the whole team ki, main matches ko aaunga. Fortunately, meri shooting ab August main hain, ya July… we plan in June, to June se shuru hojayegi. So, I am absolutely free to come to all the matches. Main khushi se aata hoon.”
Back on March 27, 2024, Shah Rukh Khan graced his team, Kolkata Knight Riders’ match against the Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The actor was accompanied by his little man, AbRam Khan, who simply couldn’t get enough from cheering for the team. In one of the glimpses shared by a fan page, AbRam could be seen jumping in excitement at the strands, and he even blew a whistle.

Previously, Kolkata Knight Riders lost a match against Rajasthan Royals during IPL 2024. While the team was surely disheartened to see the match slip from their fingers at the last minute, it was SRK who gave them an endearing speech in the dressing room and motivated them. He said:
“There are days in our lives, in sports, specially, when we don’t deserve to lose. And there are days also when we don’t deserve to win. But days are like that, which turns things around. Today, we didn’t deserve to lose. All of us played extremely well. We have to be very, very proud of ourselves. Please don’t feel sad or down. Feel as happy as we feel whenever we come to the changing room and we are on a high. So maintain the high.”
